It's been almost two years since I first tried out at Pu'u Muay Thai Ventura and I am beyond grateful for doing so. I've learned so much about Muay Thai and it's become one of my newest and biggest passions. They've taught me amazing fundamentals and I've pushed myself hard during classes because of how fun, interesting and challenging they are. I was even able to start sparring which I never imagined I'd be able to. I've grown physically and technically so much thanks to them: and though I am unfortunately leaving Ventura soon, I know I will try and find a new home to learn and practice the wondeful Muay Thai I learned here. Phenomenal studio. Arguably the CLEANEST studio in the county all mats and equipment are sanitized thoroughly after every use. Hardworking environment; when its toward the end of your class not only will the coaches push you to work harder but your peers as well And if you are looking for a studio to get serious in, this is the studio for you. So far I have only done one class here so far but I really liked the culture and the teaching method, Kru Ed was great! Definitely planning to return UPDATE: 11 months of training later I had to move out of state and I’ll miss this gym, the instructors, and my classmates very much. It’s been great training, very clean facility, very welcoming and encouraging culture among staff and students, a great overall sheen of professionalism to the whole place. I’ve learned a tremendous amount from Kru Ed, Coach Zach, Coach Connor, and Coach Ralph, made friends along the way, and gotten a lot stronger than I ever thought I could be. I was nervous to join due to my slight social anxiety, but these guys said it's a judgment free zone and made me feel safe and secure. I can't wait to increase my skill over the months to a high skill level to feel even more safe, secure, maintained, and balanced within my own self. By my second class, I was already realizing how to have better form and movement, and I actually come from a martial arts background.
