I came here because my previous dentist had told me I needed like 5 cavities filled. After coming to OMS dental I was told I really only needed 2 filled. I was able to get those two cavities filled, got X-rays done, and got a cleaning done. They were all super helpful with my questions and concerns. I had a crown fall off and was quoted $2700 for a replacement from a different local dentist.... without any other options.I called OMS, and they were SO NICE straight from the get-go! I had a broken tooth and I was in incredible pain, I had been given the run around by three other offices before finding OMS, and I’m so happy I did. The office is spotless, the staff is friendly and welcoming. The dentist was amazing! He explained everything to me, gave me all of my options and put me at ease unlike so many of the other dentists I’ve encountered. My tooth was quite difficult to extract but he did it without causing me pain or stress. His assistant was just as incredible as he was. She made conversation with me and made sure I was as comfortable as I could be. I have recently visited OMS Dental and was impressed with the level of care, professionalism and skills of the staff. A few years ago I had a tooth extraction at another practice. As a result my bone around receded and sinus dropped. I wanted to do implant in the place where my toot was, but not many doctors wanted to perform such a demanding procedure. I was fortunate enough to meet Dr. Ismail from OMS Dental, who explained to me in detail what the procedure entails and the risks involved. Dr. Ismail, performed a very complex procedure of carefully lifting my sinus and placing bone graft where my bone was missing. He also explained to me what to expect in the first couple of days, like some moderate pain, possible swelling, etc. He even checked on me a couple of times when I arrived home, just to be sure that I was feeling well. I cannot express my gratitude well enough to Dr. Ismail, his assistant, as well as other staff who welcomed me to their practice. I highly recommend this practice to anyone in need of dental work. So I don't normally have super strong positive feelings about a doctor's office, especially a dentist. In fact I have the most extreme phobia of dental work, people touching my teeth, loose teeth etc.18 years ago a had a tooth pulled after an injury the cracked my tooth, chipped all my front teeth and loosened my bottom teeth. I had to have a metal plate (mandolin bridge) put behind bottom front teeth to provide stability. Well that was only supposed to last 5 years or so but it was still here. Now it started coming off gradually over the past 11 years or so but I was terrified to get it checked since the first experience was so traumatizing.So it was past due, all the bottom teeth were loose and it was only a matter of time until I bit into something and a tooth cracked or came out. So I couldn't put it off anymore.I researched, met a couple of dentists and decided on OMS Dental in McHenry, Dr Obaidi. Prior to my procedure he explained everything as well as all of my options. He explained extra precautions he would take to ensure I would be happy with the results. The front desk girls, especially Heavenly, took numerous and I mean numerous calls from me to answer all my questions and calm my fears before the procedure. I had the teeth extracted yesterday and Dr Obaidi and the ENTIRE STAFF were beyond EXCELLENT! They handled me with such compassion, patience and kindness. The assistants literally held my hand and talked with me to help me to relax and understand all of my fears and what to expect. During the entire process I was made very comfortable. I had ZERO pain, even with the novocaine injections, that I barely felt. They checked throughout the procedure that I was doing OK. They were super quick and efficient and I was utterly shocked when they said I was already done!Today I am shocked at how well I am feeling. The temporary partial denture is comfortable, natural looking and fits perfect. There was minimal bleeding and minimal swelling. I just can't say enough.If you are needing a dentist you will be 150% happy with OMS Dental! Less

Let me first say the dentist and the dental hygienist did a very good job. They made me feel comfortable and relaxed. This was the first time with this dental practice. That being said I had two appointments on 06/08/2023 and 06/12/2023. Before services where done I had asked for a itemized list of services that would be done with the cost of each procedure, which was provided to me The services provided where a teeth cleaning, a tooth extraction with a bone graph as well a few other things. Insurance covered most of the work being done and after both appointments I paid my bill in full. A total of $897.20 out of pocket. 6 months go by and on or around 01/17/2024 I receive a piece of mail from OMS Dental. I'm thinking it is a reminder for a 6 month cleaning or a survey regarding services or maybe a coupon for future services. Nope it is a bill 6 months later for $332.00.I am pleased to say that Dr. Shanshal contacted me promptly from his personal phone to resolve this issue. Great customer service. Less

I want to start off by saying that I am TERRIFIED of the dentist. Since before I even stepped foot into the office my whole body was already cold from the anxiety. The staff at OMS dental were pleasant from beginning to finish! During my first consult Dr.Shanshal explained what he saw in my X-Rays & addressed my concerns. Later the girl at the front came in & explained the prices & worked with me on an appointment date that would work for me. She was welcoming & very nice. The days leading to my next appointment I was once again terrified. When I went in for my appointment, I let Dr.Shanshal & his assistant know that I was anxious & they reassured me more than once that they would take care of me & would feel no discomfort. In the blink of an eye the extraction was done! Didn’t take him longer than 10 minutes!! I couldn’t believe I had lost sleep over something so simple. Good service and open on Saturdays once a month! This was my first visit to a dentist in over 15 years so I was worried I would need a root canal or something major. Luckily the cavities that were found were fillable and I got taken care of same-day! It’s been over a week and my teeth feel great!
