We picked this company because they are local folks, we don't generally go with the big names, and they were close to the cruise terminal. The process was quite easy, we did the booking online and when we arrived everything was done remotely via text messages, so that was great.Unfortunately, that was where the good part ended. The car looked rough on the outside, but that did not put us off.Once unlocked we were surprised to find it was filthy inside, to the point we had to use a bunch of wipes to clean it before we got in. (we accidentally left them behind when we dropped the car off.)Once we started the car, the low tire pressure light came on. We texted about this and were told, go put some air in the tires! (not a big issue, but rental car maintenance isn't really our responsibility.)Once we left the garage and got on the road I realized the Prius, which had to be one of the original models, had literally no shocks or decent suspension, so the ride was pretty bad.As we got on the highway to head up to the North Shore, the Check Engine light came on. That was when we made to decision to head back.We texted the owner and were told there was no replacement vehicle available. If there was I would hope it would be better than the wreck we were given. I sort of jokingly told my wife we should drive it to the junkyard so no one else gets stuck with it!The owners did fully refund our rental and deposit, as we only had the car less than an hour. The only issue around that is the exchange from US back to Canadian dollars really blows, but that is not their fault of course. All said, not a great experience, so I guess we will have to go back and see the north shore another trip.
