As the President of our HOA, I take vendor selection very seriously, especially after a storm when emotions are high and homeowners are vulnerable. Following a storm, several roofing companies came into our community. One particular company assessed multiple roofs, including my own, and immediately pressured homeowners to sign contracts on the spot. While one homeowner did sign, I voiced my concerns about the approach, and as a result, the rest of the homeowners including myself decided not to move forward.About a week later, I happened to be at the gym and struck up a conversation with someone who turned out to be Dania’s sister-in-law. When I asked what she did for a living, she mentioned she previously worked for a roofing company and that her sister-in-law, Dania, was still in the industry. At that point, several homeowners in our community were looking for a roofer they could genuinely trust, so I gave her my contact information to pass along to Dania.Dania called me the very same day and came out the next day to meet with the homeowners.
