Apologies in advance, as this is a very LONG (and overdue) review 😊When we moved into our house almost three years ago, the first thing I knew I wanted to change eventually (AKA as soon as possible) were the floors. Of course the pandemic hit in2020, so those plans were put on a temporary hold. We did other projects, but ultimately the floor color would complete the look we were going for through the house 100%.Fast forward a few years to 2022: I saw a few referrals on Facebook for a local flooring company who seemed to have everything you’d want when hiring for a major home change. So I reached out, they came out the next week, then sent me a quote a few days later. When I saw the number, I was very close to giving up all hope of getting the floors refinished anytime soon. I figured the number I received was due to rising inflation costs (for labor and product) — but JP proved me wrong in so many ways a few weeks later.I took one more chance on FB, and searched for flooring company recommendations in a local Newtown group. JP Floors came up a bunch… so I reached out. Best decision EVER!I actually sent him the square footage breakdown (along with stairs and some other details) and asked if he needed/wanted to come out to check it out. To my surprise, he replied right away!!! He even sent a quote without seeing the house that was more than half of what the previous company quoted me.I was in shock! JP came out very soon after the email exchange, and quoted even less after seeing it. Nothing crazy, but this to me along with so many other things just made me 100% sure we want to work with him only. Now that we were locked in with him, I needed to pick a color. So indecisive. Here’s what I truly appreciate: I wanted a white country French finish. Instead of him saying “yes, no problem!” Like others did — he told me straight up: our red oak floors had undertones of pink and red that would not allow for what we wanted. He said he’d try his absolute best (and stain a few different sections with different stain & sealer, etc.). Let me add the most important piece of the story: JP said we may not even need or want a stain color… only a sealer. Relevance: no stain = less cost. The fact that he was so honest about this was crazy to me (in a good way). I don’t think many business owners would suggest anything that costs LESS than the original quote.. but I am so thankful for one who does!Ok, finally! The day in November came. We moved everything (including us and our two dogs🙃) out of the entire downstairs level, and the sanders arrived. Adam came over and had us check out a few options. He gave his opinion and my husband and I agreed 100%. We went with the all natural! No stain, just sealer. Matte finish as we have dogs and a lot of foot traffic. Also, it is incredible the work they did to get year(s) old stains we didn’t even know existed out. No extra charge.🥺To wrap this lengthy review up: these pictures don’t do justice. Every single grain is different and perfectly finished. They look stunning! I cannot even begin to explain how much we love them. We are getting our cabinets painted next week, and will update this post with the final kitchen&dining views when complete. THANK YOU JP FLOORS for making our floors perfect.
