Here we are ringing in a new year and with it we all tend to make resolutions to be healthier, work out, and lose weight. These are absolutely great goals that are worth working towards; but if I may say so, I believe they are actually life habits that are well worth incorporating not only in January and possibly into February for some but throughout the entire year and should be a way of life. The aesthetics that come with working out and eating healthy are a definite bonus. But as I have matured (gotten older 😊) I have realized there are even more important benefits to be reaped. When we are younger, we tend to take things like stability, mobility and balance for granted. As I have witnessed my aging parents fall and struggle with standing unassisted from a seated position because they lack core and quad strength, I am reminded how very important it is to start working out early. Building your core strength is the foundation for many things. Carrying your groceries. Core strength. Bending over to pick up the baby. Core strength. Vacuuming. Core strength. It is important. Developing and strengthening the core is the main principle at Coretech Fitness. Building core strength not only helps with your workouts, it will also aid you in your daily life. I am a firm believer that no one can really take care of you but you. So as you start the new year with fitness goals, I encourage you to visit Coretech Fitness Lab.
