I retained The Ault Firm / Chris Ault for my custody case and unfortunately my experience was very disappointing. Communication was extremely slow — emails were typically answered only once a week. This caused serious problems. One weekend I asked for guidance on a visitation issue beginning on a Thursday, but didn’t receive a response until Monday. That delay ended up costing me and led to a motion to enforce when timely legal direction could have prevented it.I also reached out before the 90-day mark when my case was close to reverting to a protective order, but by the time they responded I was told it was “too late.” Despite repeatedly asking for help modifying visitation based on medical needs, nothing was ever filed or meaningfully moved forward. In the end, I felt they were collecting fees without actively protecting my rights or my child’s best interest. I ultimately fired the firm because I needed representation that would communicate, act promptly, and actually work my case. This was my experience — potential clients should be aware and ask very clear questions about response times and proactive case management before retaining representation.
