This place is great! I took my four year old girl here for a hair cut, and was really happy with everything that was included in her “trip to the spa!” They started by painting her nails, then washed her hair, then took her over to a Frozen Jeep seat where she got her cut. Then they dried her hair, put some glitter in, and sent her on her way with a lollipop and balloon! They were all so very friendly.

Having a son with BIG sensory issues regarding his hair, and level 2-3 autism, I was very nervous. We had been treated poorly recently at a different salon here where we live. But we ended up having the best haircut experience yet at Sharkey’s. My 10 year old son makes loud noises and has a lot of difficulty sitting still when anyone touches his hair. But Aloma is completely understanding, confident, reassuring, fast, and professional. She is everything we need in a stylist. She also offered some great advice. Although we live two hours away in North Carolina, we will be back!

David and the team here are very kind! He did such an amazing job with my son’s haircut. I was a little nervous at first but was pleasantly happy with the end result! He was patient with my son as well which means a lot! My daughter even got her nails painted while waiting! We will definitely be back and I highly recommend this location for kids!

We took our son to cut his long hair, while super emotional for us as a family the barber we had was absolutely amazing, they had our guy on an Xbox playing bluey, didn’t squirm didn’t cry, it was perfect. And for younger they have power wheel chairs that your kid will LOVE! For the girls they have a whole salon! So they feel like a celebrity! Def check this place out in VB!

Aloma is amazing. She gave my son such a wonderful experience and fantastic haircut! She took her time and made him look so handsome. She even put on his favorite show Blues Clues when he asked. The whole ride home he kept saying “Can you believe she was so kind? Can you believe she put on Blues Clues for me?!”We look forward to being regulars! Thanks for a great experience! ❤️

My two girls were spoiled rotten today. This was their first ever salon experience and it exceeded my expectations. Nails painted, pretty ring, hair wash, cut and style (hair glitter as well). They were so excited to show everyone. We will definitely be back!

We have gone twice now . Including pictures from first visit and from yesterday's! My daughter specifically asked to book an appt at the place we went before school started. She absolutely loves it there and enjoys her experience. It is fun and anyone we have encountered has been wonderful with kiddos and talented ! Aloma Smith was the stylist who cut my son's hair and it was honestly the best haircut I've seen on him. We've been to a few other places, but never seen anyone fade my son's hair like she didIt was a bit of an accident how we ended up there as it's out of the way, but I'll 100% be booking with her in the future
