I intentionally waited until the next day to write this review because I was so in love with the experience yesterday, I could barely put it into words. But waking up this morning and loving my hair even more confirmed everything I felt. I am absolutely awestruck by my experience at Curl H2O with Lisa.From the amazing communication beforehand, to being ushered into such a peaceful and welcoming space, everything felt intentional and personal. The one-on-one experience was unlike anything I’ve ever had in a salon. Lisa was so patient as I tried to explain my hair journey and even struggled to remember products I’ve used. She listened, educated, and made me feel completely comfortable.And when I mentioned wanting relaxation, she created an experience beyond anything I could have imagined. The shampoo experience alone was incredible. For the first time, I truly disconnected — listened to the music, got lost in my thoughts, and simply enjoyed caring for my hair. I’ve never experienced that level of individualized attention in a salon before.What impressed me even more was Lisa’s professionalism and expertise. Every question I had was already thoughtfully answered and sent in the email. As a business professional myself, I deeply appreciate when someone anticipates your needs and communicates with excellence while still making themselves available for additional support.I’m genuinely excited for this natural hair journey now, and I’ve already been telling everyone about Curl H2O. I have been coming to Lisa since April 2025 and my hair has drastically improved since then. I started coming to her after a botched hair cut. As a result, I was on edge about someone new knowing I would need a cut to get me back on track. Lisa was amazing at making me feel at ease, setting an amazing experience, and keen on education. We set up a schedule that worked for my budget and talked through what products would be best for me. Since then I have noticed huge improvements in length retention, fullness and my edges are growing in fully. Her wash and gos last for many days and she does other great long lasting styles like flat twists and twist outs. I am so glad I found her!

I participated in the Curl Mastery Bootcamp with Lisa and it was life changing. In the bootcamp I learned what ingredients to look for in the products I purchase based on my goals and the needs of my hair. Lisa provided us with the Essentials Kit which contained foundational products as well as tools to help with washing my hair that I absolutely love. In addition to educating us virtually on hair care, products, styling techniques, and everything needed to achieve healthy, hydrated curls, Lisa had in-person sessions. In person, she showed me different techniques and gave me the opportunity to practice them with her. This allowed me to receive feedback on my technique and immediately apply the feedback. Prior to the bootcamp, I was quick to schedule a crochet or braid appointment because washing and styling my hair took all day. Now, not only am I confident in my techniques, but I can wash and style my hair in under 2 hours. It still takes time to dry but because of Lisa I understand the importance of letting my hair fully dry and sitting under the dryer achieves my goal of long lasting curls. I started going to Lisa and December 2023 and I am so happy that I made the decision for her to become my hairstylist. I have had a difficult time trying to find a really good natural hair stylist in the DMV area and I came across Lisa ‘s page a few times. I finally made the decision to go to her in December and it was the best decision I could’ve made for myself and my hair. Lisa is patient, gentle, and extremely knowledgeable about natural hair care. I cut my hair in December and it is absolutely flourishing!! I highly recommend Lisa, especially for natural hair girlies. You can literally see the joy in my face and my hair has grown since my hair cut. Don’t walk… sprint if you need your hair in good hands.

I've been with Ms. Lisa since July 2022, and I have seen a drastic change in the health of my hair! She has been nothing less than patient with me in my transition to natural. I have been using her products (Innersense) and silk bonnets/pillowcase for months now and have noticed that my hair's moisture is locked in and always has that beautiful shine!
