I'm Carissa Vu, and I enjoyed working with Mr. Dustin throughout the last 3-4 years. I was very impressed from the start with the professionalism he brought to each lesson - noticing specific aspects of the music that I could bring out, or the different voices that made up the music. Before I started with Mr. Dustin, I was at Level 3 (going to 4) in Certificate of Merit (CM), but in these last years, I have managed to finish Level 10 with State Honors. Most importantly, though, Mr. Dustin is a friendly, supportive teacher, and truly strives for the best of each of his students.

Mr. Dustin has been an excellent piano teacher for the time I have been with him over the past three or four years. I have learned how to play piano both classically and in the modern style with him I have worked on the certificate of merit program and have gotten up to level nine. He has also taught me techniques that would help me to make songs from chords and make them more complex. Because of him, I have been able to read songs easier and add my own touch of creativity. He is very kind and patient working with me. I feel comfortable and at ease, but at the same time, I know the high standard he sets. He emphasizes that it is up to me how well I want to do, that I need to put in the work. I would highly recommend him as a piano teacher for all levels and genres.

Dustin have been our daughters piano teacher for years. First we knew Dustin when we purchased a keyboard from BestBuy and they offer 6 free lessons in 2012. We love his teaching technique and his flexibility to do the lessons. All my 3 daughters are his students. His price is reasonable, since 2020, we switched from in person lessons to zoom lessons which is more convenience for Dustin and us.

Dustin Callahan has improved my piano skills. There has been a noticeable difference from when we started working together to now. The online format is very easy to navigate when we are actively calling and when we are not so I can see material from the lessons. He always provides advice to further enhance my skills, which I highly appreciate.

I have been with Dustin for 4 years now, using both in person and video lessons. I started with a music background, but zero piano experience. I am becoming more proficient in all aspects of my piano ability and Dustin's keen ear and flexible methods suit me to a tee! I am an older adult and my dexterity and muscle memory are not as fresh as a younger person, however Dustin takes that into account and guides me into successful areas of playing. I thoroughly enjoy our time together and expect to continue my piano journey with him! I give Dustin my highest recommendation!

Simply amazing. During the 4 years with private lessons has greatly improved both my skills in piano, and life. Callahan Piano Studio has helped me overcome barriers that include sight-reading, expressivity, and mentality. I also have been able to participate in countless of performance opportunities, like conventions and festivals. Mr. Callahan has developed my passion and helped me understand what it means to be a musician and encourage me to succeed, and has worked extra hard with me to achieve state honors. Simply stating that this studio and program is great isn’t enough, and I have gained the ability to not only pursue a piano career, but also learn new things about the world and my future.
