I attended Jane's calligraphy workshop as part of a group and came in with no experience of calligraphy, but an open mind.The calligraphy itself was enlightening - easy to learn with Jane's expert guidance and really rewarding to see a great finished piece of work at the end of the session.But for me - the main benefit of the session was what I learnt about a truly mindful activity and how it can calm the nervous system and engender a feeling of positivity. Jane's knowledge of neuroscience and teaching combine to elevate the session from an activity to a transformational experience for the entire group.I would strongly recommend this workshop to a team or group in any industry who are looking to build self awareness and manage workplace well being. A great introduction to calligraphy! The materials were good quality, which made them easy to work with (the paper feels very luxurious!). I feel like I learned a lot about having patience with myself, too. Jane herself is an excellent teacher. She took things at a slow but steady pace, explained things well, and was very helpful when I was getting frustrated with myself.
