On one side of my head, my natural hair is tucking out, the braids were not properly sealed either so a lot of them are coming unbraided. These photos are taken the same day I got home. Not everyone has time to come back to the salon either to get it fixed. Very hurt because I feel my money was wasted. I’ve unfortunately developed carpal tunnel in my hands and can no longer braid my hair and these hair shops are just so disappointing. I don’t see this style lasting long and that’s a shame. Less

I sat in the chair the owner of the shop demonstrated to her assistant how to do the corn rows .The lady first did the opposite of what she was told and took 1/12 hour to do 5 corn rows she re did the whole thing and took another 2 hours now the owner is frustrated and decides to install the hair .She used under 2 bundles of hair after I told her I wanted it full, there were spaces left between that she refuse to fill out because the corn rows was not done properly.She told me that she don’t flat iron the hair the front of my head looks like I have not have a hair do in over a year. She told me she only install the hair and would have to go to another salon to flat iron it and style it after charging me a ridiculous amount and multiple mistakes. I am not sure if its me but I have never seen a half service for a sew-in . She is even angrier than I am!!! My hair looks so horrible that my daughters joked me all week long!!! My daughter asked me "when was I going to finish the back of my hair?" I doubt if this is even a 1/2 pack of hair in my head. The twists started falling out after 2 days and they pulled all of my edges out because they pulled it so tightly when they initially did it two weeks ago. They told me 3 hours. I was there 7 hours for this hideous mess. I text the owner the next day letting her know how disappointed I was. No response! I went back to the shop and showed her the BIG SPACES in the back of my head and my edges gone and she told me she'd add more hair to the twists. Add more hair? Lady my hair has to be redone! She told me to come back later because she had a client. (Expecting me to sit there at 7:30pm to get my hair done in that neighborhood 🤨) I told her I'd come back early the next day. She declined telling me she had other customers, I must come back now or she'd let me know when. It's been 2 weeks. I sent additional photos of my hair with numerous missing twists and bald edges, asking when can I come. Again, NO RESPONSE!!! I hate to put down my people and I don't do reviews. But, I can't not allow this owner to continue to one overcharge clients, two, be unprofessional and three not provide a safe, clean environment for clients to come and be safe during a pandemic. That bathroom is trifling! They had no hand soap, paper towels or hand sanitizer. This business owner MUST do better! SAVE YOUR MONEY! She has those young girls in there that are not properly trained at braiding hair. I pray they get it together. I'd hate to see a Black owned business shut down. 08/04/20-Unfortunately, I can't publish another review for some reason. But, UPDATE: I returned to Esther's shop today to ask when i could come since she claims she told me she'd fix it. Why this sick behind winch of a business owner talked very disrespectfully to me in front of her clients. She told me I'm nobody, im a broke get-over, im ugly and a whole bunch of other names. I explained if she has too many customers and not enough braiders I can go to another shop. She said I will give you a discount just please stay and I will start your hair right now. So I stayed. She started my hair and the braider came in. They did finish my hair very fast in which I was very surprised but the quality of the work was very bad... the parts we very messy, my parts for braids in the back are much larger than the front... I have a loose braid in the front, and they snipped one of my braids by accident and didn’t fix it. And when it was all said and done she asked for the original price we set... there was no discount. I will never go back to this braiding location. I have gotten my hair braided many times to know quality. I didn’t even care for it to be completed fast I just wanted my moneys worth... and it was not worth $180. I don’t even care to go back for them to fix it. Do not go to this location the quality of work is horrible. There are children braiding. As I looked at the quality around the room I myself was very unsatisfied with the results. I hate to write a bad review, because I truly try to support small and local businesses.. I went here to get my hair braided several weeks ago, but I was not satisfied with the finished product. I reached out to Queen to discuss arrangements to have my hair redone, however when I returned she skipped out on the appointment.
