UPT has crossfit + gymnastics classes as well as weightlifting with approximately 8 real platforms that you can drop the barbell on, and excellent coaches. Weightlifting at UPT has changed my life.  In little more than one year, I've gone from barely being able to do a snatch with a broom stick to reliably snatching 100 pounds, despite being in my late forties. I've gained muscle and lost fat, ... More

UPT has crossfit + gymnastics classes as well as weightlifting with approximately 8 real platforms that you can drop the barbell on, and excellent coaches. Weightlifting at UPT has changed my life.  In little more than one year, I've gone from barely being able to do a snatch with a broom stick to reliably snatching 100 pounds, despite being in my late forties. I've gained muscle and lost fat, improved my posture, and feel amazing.  Not only am I benefiting from the exercise, but the social camaraderie has greatly reduced the feeling of isolation I've felt since the pandemic. There are 2 separate programs: OLY (olympic weightlifting) and crossfit. Both offer excellent benefits depending on what you're trying to improve and focus on.
