I had a membership and signed up for a 12 month contract. After my contract was over, they continued to charge me. I had called in during business hours, and left a message. I also went to their site and spoke with an online representative via text box, and informed them of my request to cancel that way as well. They have yet to get back to me and are continuing to charge my card.

I like the comraderie (sp?) of the self defense and group classes; not something that can be found at the bigger gyms.

Fantastic classes. I love the strikefit class and really felt like I was getting a great work out. The yoga classes and strength training were also great.

While I've loved every class I've taken at AKMF (hurts so good!), it's the instructors that really make this place! Rob, Zoe, Mike, Kerry, Will, Bea, and Denise (there are more but those are the ones I've taken classes from) are phenomenal at motivation, modification instruction if needed, and have great attitudes. Even though this gym is full of very fit folks and there's so much physicality, there's no judgement from the instructors or other members. It's a great thing to experience, especially for those of us coming back from a long fall off the fitness wagon!

My wife signed me up for the 6 week challenge to lose 25 pounds or 6% body in a 6 week span. I was able to lose 23.5 pounds and over 7% body fat in that time frame. The environment is great, classes are fun, and staff are great to work with.

I looooove this place. I was 54 when I joined...I’m 55 now. I’ve gone from hardly being about pick up a big bag of dog food to deadlifting 165lbs...so far. The people are awesome. The staff and coaches are fantastic and the other members are equally fantastic. If you are looking to build a better version of yourself...this the place.
