After I had yet *another* 'hangry' episode/outburst, several people said "You really need to figure that out". However, it was my friend (Lee Aaron Smart) who actually referred me to someone who could help- that's how I met Jon Mitchell. We had a consultation on the phone where I shared my most pressing concerns- an increasing number of 'hangry' episodes that were becoming more and more... aggressive. I told him that wondered if it was related to my blood sugar levels (I'm not diabetic), but didn't have an actual basis for that belief- it was just me shooting in the dark. I was also struggling with my weight and energy- both of which were fluctuating up and down with no discernible cause. We talked for a bit, then Jon sent over his proposal for coaching.I appreciated that he had a few different options available, and after considering how serious I was about addressing the ROOT issues and making changes, I opted for a three month coaching package with Jon.I quickly learned that Jon isn't about quick fixes, but he does have solutions and suggestions that can garner some pretty immediate results. He arranged for me to have some bloodwork done, and 11 (or was it 13?) vials later, he has some in-depth results about areas where I was deficient in specific vitamins and minerals and I've added some supplements and added more of certain types of food to my diet.John had me track my blood sugar for several weeks with a CGM, and wow, was that ever an eye-opening! His guidance helped me zero in on the foods that fueled me physically and mentally versus the foods I was eating that caused dramatic swings in my blood sugar, mood and mental acuity. With each session, Jon helped me reset the foundation of my health habits, and provided great follow-up resources for me. I wasn't just being informed about what changes would benefit me, I was being educated, too. With some tweaks with my diet (increasing my protein intake), my 'hangry' episodes essentially vanished. He had me start some lightweight strength training and put modifications in place to account for the ongoing rehabilitate of my arm/elbow after a car accident from a previous year. From start to finish, with every health challenge I was struggling to manage, Jon had suggestions and solutions.I've made it a point to keep up with his posts and blogs so I can continue to benefit from his wisdom and experience. If you are serious about making changes to your health, I highly recommend working with Jon. Be willing to do the work, and you will be surprised and delighted with the results!
