I joined CTPT for the 6-week trial while I was working in Canterbury, and it has honestly been nothing short of amazing from day one. I felt welcomed immediately—not just by the coaches, but by the whole community. Before joining, I had been training at another gym in Canterbury since July, but I found myself struggling to enjoy the training style as I train in small-group sessions back home.I came across CTPT on Instagram and decided to reach out, and I’m so glad I did. Sam gave me a call, and we booked in a consultation that felt genuinely personalised and thorough. It set the tone for everything that followed.The structure of the small-group training is brilliant. Each session feels tailored, and the coaches make sure you’re getting the right balance of challenge, form, and progression. I tried out new movements such as incline barbell bench press and managed a PB by the end and matched some of my other PBs, which I was very happy with as being out of normal routine I was worried about loosing progression I had made at the beginning of the year. But I needn't have worried as the coaches guide you through the movements, offer thoughtful advice, and help with adjustments so you’re always improving safely and confidentlySam, Tristan, Ilina, Emily, Holly, and Joanna are all incredibly knowledgeable, supportive, and engaging. I’ve truly enjoyed being coached by each of them.I would absolutely recommend CTPT to anyone looking for a welcoming, structured, and motivating place to train in Canterbury. It’s been an exceptional experience. And although I am glad to be coming home I was very sad to be leaving CTPT and hope to be back in the future and see them at future comps! 🖤💛
