Overall we have been happy with their service until recently.A technician brought in a dirty sandy hose and made a massive mess all over our house and did not initiate cleaning it up.This dirty hose made tons of scratches all over our hardwood floors and it took me close to an hour to clean up the mess. The scratches were small and less noticeable after we mopped and cleaned up the area but there were a significant amount of them nonetheless. There were also marks on our walls from where the hose was rubbing as he did not use anything to protect the corners.The worst part of this entire experience was not even the damage to our floors or the mess that I had to clean up but how Refresh handled the situation. They promised they would handle the situation and make sure we were taken care of.When they asked how I would like to handle the damage to the floors I said why don’t they propose a dollar value to compensate for the damage. They came back and offered me $250 which I felt was not satisfactory whatsoever given the huge mess that was left and the damage to the floors. I mentioned to replace this area of flooring (the landing at the top of the stairs where the majority of the scratches and damage were) would be much more than $250 and that it would be fair to ask them to replace the entire area also considering my time I put into cleaning up the mess.They did not own this situation at all. They came back and said the technician needed to use a flashlight and get down to floor level to view the scratches and also that our floors were soft and susceptible to scratches from our dog or even moving a chair on it.The worst part is she then also said they will not be prepared to be taken advantage of. What an absolutely terrible thing to say to a long term customer that had never asked for compensation or complained about damage ever in the 8-10 times we had used them. They say $350 is the maximum compensation they would provide or they would not work with us any more on the matter.This is beyond more than short sighted to say such a thing to a long term customer. We are now also telling everyone we know not to use Refresh after such a horrible experience.If they had just come back with something more respectable it could have been resolved without making an accusation to a long term customer that has spent thousands of dollars using their services. I would have been happy with a refund on our recent cleaning or a cleaning credit in the future and they would have kept me as a long term customer but instead they decided to take the low road and say I was trying to take advantage of them. I will never use them ever again after this and we have already told tons of people about this experience.Truly disappointing how you treat your long term customers Refresh. Less

The appointment was for an off white 3 seater couch and initially they sent over Nicolas as a tech. Unfortunately, the job was poorly completed and my couch looked like it had not been touched. I reached out via email with photographs and the administrative operations manager Rayenne was friendly, however, she initially said that stains aren’t guaranteed to come out and offered a different technician. Rayenne then said it’s typically the same technician that re-attends, however I declined. Finally, technician Ken came and did an amazing job! My couch looks a hundred times better and the water that came out of it was so satisfying to look at. Ken was very polite and SO knowledgeable; he talked me through the process and checked in along the way. I am so grateful for Ken and will definitely be asking for him moving forward! I do not recommend the services of Refresh Carpet Cleaning. They came to clean carpet in 2 of my rooms and had to travel between rooms with their carpet cleaner on my hardwood floor. They did not put a protective mat under their steamer and caused water damage my hardwood floor with several watermarks. I promptly called Scott, the owner, to voice my concern and for him to find a solution to fix the damages that this lack of care caused. Scott personally came to see the damages and was very apologetic and said that unfortunately this company couldn't fix the damages that they caused but he would absolutely offer a complimentary service the next time I contact them. I've just called the company to take up that service and have been told that they have no record of my damages and they will not honour the service, BUT they highlighted that there are some good discounts available now should I choose to purchase another service?! I'm honestly disgusted with this terrible level of customer service. I unfortunately didn't ask for anything in writing after our phone call, my mistake, and they haven't put a note in their system, although they could see in their system that I've used their services on a few occasions. I am a business owner and treating customers fairly and professionally is extremely important to me, especially if I am at fault for some issue. This company is disorganized, lacks professionalism, integrity and has an extremely poor level of customer service. Less
