They have still not cooperated in fixing what was wrong with the suspension from the beginning. I live about 100 miles from the dealer and they tell me to bring it to them to look at. I tell them what the issue is and it’s the same issue that they said they fixed but all they can tell me is they will look at it. But they didn’t do anything about the bad engine that I have and the car was purchased in July 2022. Stay away from this place. Less

Wish I would have read the reviews before going to this dealership! What a huge waste of time and a joke. Was looking for a small inexpensive SUV to have strictly for winter driving and found one with them but when we got there they apparently couldn’t find the keys for what we wanted to test drive so have us keys to another (same vehicle but more expensive) and did not make us aware of that at the time we drove. We take the vehicle out and like it to come back to find out that the one we drove and liked was actually 3100 more than what we were supposed to be looking at and driving! We liked it enough that we tried to make a deal (even tho it definitely seemed shady) to have it come out as 5000 more than what it was priced from all the “fees” they add. A cosmetic reconditioning fee (595.00) which was explained as a fee for repairing dents, scratches, rust etc but the vehicle had a huge scratch on the rear drivers side that clearly had rust as well. So apparently that’s a lie and just money in their pocket. Then they throw a mechanical reconditioning fee (1895.00) which was explained as a fee that is charged for any work so it can pass inspection. And many others (not taxes, tags, etc) Either that is the cost of doing business or you mark your prices accordingly. Scam artists!! Less

I was told it would get a full detail and I paid extra for the exogloss which was supposed to be a ceramic coating included. I went to pick up my car the following day as it was going to take them awhile to complete the work. I told them I would be at the dealership around 10am they told me no problem it would be ready. I get there and I’m told it hasn’t been completed yet. Luckily they gave me a loaner vehicle as I ubered an hour there. Not thrilled. Here is where they have decent customer service. The sales manager dropped the car off to my house since it wasn’t ready. However, he lives in my area. The very next day I look at the car because when he dropped it off it was dark. That day I take a look at the car and the scuff marks and scratches are still there. I reached back out to the sales manager regarding this and he reassured me it was detailed and he would look into it and make things right. No chance it was detailed. I detailed cars for 6 years and clearly it wasn’t taken care of. 3 weeks later I reach out again and this time nothing. I texted him and mentioned I was unhappy and I was able to remove the scratches and scuffs with compound polish and a microfiber. Took all of 5 minutes. If it was detailed a clay bar, polish, and buffer would have removed that with ease. I have not gotten a response from the sales manager and it’s pretty poor customer service for them to not provide a service I paid for. Sadly I didn’t have a great experience here. Hopefully changes are made in the near future. Less

The MEN at this business will LIE to you, STEAL money from you, (add ghost charges after agreed upon sale price) and then sell you a car THEY WANT you to buy, even if it is USELESS to you. ◾️I needed a vehicle to pull a 15ft camper, 2700 lb dry wt. The salesman Tony (House) repeatedly lied to me, gave me false information about a 2015 Traverse. (purchased May 20 2022). "no longer works there" (FIRED). ◾️Neither "Chad" (sales manager) or Joe (Cline) (service manager) will help resolve my issues. ■The SERVICE provided on 9/9/2022 was NOT what was agreed upon. Joe lacks basic automobile knowledge and refused to complete the agreed upon work that was pre-paid. He repeatedly gave me false information about my vehicle and "tow package". He did not install proper wiring. ◾️Both Joe and Chad have limited information about the vehicle's sale, the paperwork is incomplete and inaccurate. When Chad reviewed my file with me he laughed in my face and said "Well you signed it". They both told numerous additional lies 9/8/22 regarding hitch placement which was added to sale price at purchase. ◾️New owner "Mr Gonzalez" has not contacted me despite asking both managers to escalate my concerns to the owner and begin arbitration. I have no choice now other than to REPORT RON'S AUTOMOTIVE and take legal action. Though we hadn’t put even 200 miles on the car, they claimed it was from “wear and tear” (again, we had just bought it from them, so that’s how they sell cars, even after adding thousands of dollars to the price for “mechanical and cosmetic work”). For the clutch, they quoted a high price, but agreed to install parts we had delivered to them— they signed off on the wrong parts twice, and waited WEEKS to check if they fit. They had our car over TEN WEEKS!!!! They promised to charge us “half price” for labor, but of course that was a lie too. We just picked it up today, and guess what???? THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT IS BACK ON. They have purposely misrepresented a vehicle for sale, lied to us on numerous occasions, and were combative and rude when I called them incompetent, in tears, begging for my vehicle (or a loaner or something to drive my daughter to school into). I have never heard of such a pathetic excuse for a mechanic, and the “manager”, Ricardo, is petty, small, and grossly inept in both dealing with customers and running a legit business. The only thing worse than having to deal with his constant stream of lies was the absolute buffoon they call their lead mechanic. He loves to try and be condescending but can’t quite pull it off as he never knows what he’s talking about. He loved to sound important, but isn’t knowledgeable or experienced enough to answer basic questions. He was also both pathetic and laughable as he screamed at me to “calm down” and “be nice” when I was literally just (politely) trying to obtain information about my car. Was I frustrated? Sure. But, unlike him, I didn’t make it personal or try attack him. The only highlight was originally our sales person, but he’s being set up for failure by shady business dealings including hiding major mechanical issues from buyers. RUN AWAY— but a car anywhere else, and for all things holy, do not let these idiots work on anything you intend to put something you care about in. Less

Let's talk about customer service! I saw a car I liked online, gave the dealership a call and spoke to a kind gentleman by the name of Tony. (Apologies if that is incorrect) I asked if he could send a few photos and he did just that. I decided that I would like to come in to test drive, so I called to schedule. By this time, the original gentleman I was speaking with left, so they let me know that Trevor, his son, will be there to assist. Shortly after disconnecting the call, Trevor gave me a call to introduce himself and answer any questions I may have had. I didn't have any, but I loved that communication. Once I arrived, I chatted with Trevor for a bit before beginning the test drive. He didn't tag along, but I was accompanied by my friend. Unfortunately, the car was not that great. It jerked a lotttt! In my opinion, it seemed to have possible transmission issues. It took a while for the car to rev up and go fast even with my foot on the floor! It was pretty unpleasant and scary to drive tbh. All in all, it was not a car that i would buy, in the current state. When we came back to the dealership, there were two gentlemen out front, including Trevor. He asked me how the drive was, and I gave honest feedback. He was extremely apologetic. The other gentleman also worked there and also chimed in to say that he too experienced the jerking while he drove the car. Trevor expressed that he had no knowledge of it and again was very apologetic. Needless to say, I didn't buy the car. I do appreciate Trevor's kindness. I feel that if he was a snobby salesman (similar to 90% of the dealerships I visited previously) I would have felt slightly upset considering that I drove over 45 minutes to get there and was not informed of possible issues the car could have prior to. But that was NOT my take on the situation at all. I was told that after the car was inspected further and possibly fixed, that i would get a call to see if i was still interested. I never received that call but that okay. Maybe it had more than one issue or maybe someone else came and brought it as it. Either way, the car wasn't for me, and that's okay 🙂 Less

I bought a truck at Ron’s over a year ago. When I bought the truck they did say that they needed to fix the front right strut. I thought OK thank you for the honesty. However, after a week of my truck sitting there waiting for them to transport it to another location to get the strut fixed the truck never moved for a week. I use this truck every day to work! So I took the truck back after I noticed it was pulling to the right and the right tire tread was wearing down to being almost bald and all the other treads we’re in good shape. I needed an oil change so I thought when they had it up there they could change the oil also. I went back in the waiting room and 20 minutes later the service lady, who is not very nice also, said OK your truck is ready. I thought wow that was fast. I walked out and I think they did change my oil but they said there was nothing wrong with my tires and the alignment does not need fixed. However, I’m not done and did some more research on this place, finding out from someone who works there that everyone is quitting and the ownership is changing and the person who told me this also said it was because they sell cars and trucks that are in not very good shape. That is why they are losing all their help and you cannot get help. Again, I have been fighting this for over a year now and they will not fix any of it. I highly recommend staying FAR away from I Ron’s automotive for buying a vehicle! They will do a heck of a job getting you in one but when you need it fixed (and that will be soon)there’s no one around. I hope this helps I just don’t want this to happen to anyone else. I called Tony and told him that I would like to view a car in their inventory but I was nearly two hours drive away. He assured me it would be available, and sure enough he had it sitting in front ready for a drive as soon as I arrived. 5-stars! After sitting down to talk numbers, Tony didn't waste any time bringing the sales manager into the conversation so we could strike a deal. (It's more difficult to pay cash for a car and avoid all the extra "fees" that usually get rolled up into financing) We finally settled on a price, signed some documents, and they had me out the door in my new car that evening. 5-stars! The not so great: When I sat down with the finance office and informed them that I would be paying for the car out-right, I was told that they don't keep the titles on site and would still have to work with their title service to get my title and registration documents. This process took OVER three months of back and forth with their title team (not the DMV, just the title office). I was driving the car back to my home state the following week and could have set up appointments to complete this in less than two weeks myself had I received the title that day. 2-stars At this point, my overall satisfaction with this purchase would probably be 3.5 to 4 stars, however, I have to give credit where it's due. After my purchase, I needed a way to get both old vehicle and my new ride back home, two hours away. I left the keys to my original vehicle with Tony, and the staff at Ron's made this happen without any hesitation, allowing me to drive home in my new car and following close behind with my original car. This is what going above and beyond looks like! In conclusion, Tony was great to work with, and I was able to get the car I wanted with hard-to-find options at a fair price. The expected headaches with the finance office and title teams tainted what would have been a flawless experience, but Tony and his team put in 110% so I'm giving them a 5-star review. Thanks Tony! Ricardo, who called from the dealership, offered plenty of options for extended warranties and other available extras, but again, never made me feel pressured to buy anything. What a breath of fresh air after discussing multiple cars with multiple aggressive, pushy dealers all week! I was even struggling to choose between two cars, and the team at Ron's helped me to decide on the perfect fit for me, which ended up being the less expensive of the two. They care more about the customer's happiness and success than the $$$. This is impossible to find at dealerships! As a safety precaution in this COVID era, Ken, from the dealership, drove the car all the way to my home an hour away. He then drove my car back with him to Ron's; a seamless trade-in experience. I never even went to the dealership, and there was no waiting for hours for assistance or information, as can be the case at most dealerships. Ken was also extremely personable, and was a joy to have in our home to sign papers with! The price on the car was excellent; it is clean, smells great, and is up to date on everything. It feels completely new, even though it is only new to me. :) We will be looking for a car for my younger sister in the coming year, and can't wait to return to Ron's. The process took weeks for them to figure out his mistakes when documenting our information and numerous lies on the price somehow always fluctuating and broken promises. It took from November 2020 to the end of December 2020 to figure everything out and finally be able to be free of any contact with this terrible car sales service. Just when I thought it was over I look at my old car loan.... it is now January 2021 and they still have not paid off my trade in car loan. This was of course such a surprise and a "Well I don't know what's going on" to Dean as usual with everything else you could ask him. I am a Business owner of a few small businesses myself and I would have fired myself from my own companies if I hired Dean. I recommended to the business groups I am in with other local business owners in PA and Maryland to NEVER work with this dealership. This was such a terrible experience that this was my first ever negative google review. Also I would like to add this is only a few examples of the whole terribly horrific experience. We had actively sought financing and a Kate model used vehicle at two other larger dealerships in Baltimore County. Because we had noticed Ron’s Automotive dealership decals on various cars in our area of northern Baltimore County, we made the drive out to rural Manchester. Well worth our time and effort because DW went to work to get us into a vehicle and my neighbor left in a vehicle newer, less mileage and a perfect fit for the needs of her household. The monthly payment was lower than she had been willing to pay. It was not easy, and DW considered different vehicles and financing until the Magic was worked and Sharon drove home a 2019 Hyundai Tucson. We were so willing to share our fortunate experience of September 1, 2020. Many complaints about 2020 with an active pandemic. But no complaint about our Miracle at Ron’s!
