My husband and I used Juan and JLM Contractors for a kitchen refresh - totally reworked island, new backsplash and painted both walls and island.  The entire process was handled efficiently from start to finish.  Juan arrived to look at our needs and the quote arrived exactly when he said it would.  We spoke to other contractors but after reading reviews and speaking with Juan, we felt very comfortable hiring JLM for this project.  These house projects can be nerve- wracking because of the anticipated mess and timelines and Juan was extremely patient with any questions we had.  He also made sure all other cabinetry was protected and his employees were extremely careful regarding other parts of the kitchen that would not be part of the project.  Additionally, we always knew what was going on each day because Juan would update us either the night before or first thing in the morning regarding what trade would be coming.  His pricing is very fair and competitive and the work was stellar - We absolutely love how everything came together.  Juan was also very good with giving suggestions because he has a good eye for aesthetics.  Our home was left impeccably clean with no damage when they left.  His entire team were all friendly and professional.  We would not hesitate to use JLM Contractors again.  Very happy!

We highly recommend JLM Contractors! We have worked with them for many years. They completed a kitchen and bath remodel for us years ago--fantastic work at a fair price. Last year, we made the mistake of working with another contractor who was recommended by a designer; it was a nightmare. We are so grateful to JLM for coming in and finishing what the other contractor had started and also updating our master bath. Juan, his 3 wonderful sons, and all the workers (same ones we worked with previously) are professional, kind, and respectful of our time, our home, and our budget. I am absolutely thrilled with my master bath. They understood the partial updates we wanted (we will do more next year) and took time to help me achieve the spa-like look we wanted.

Juan was highly recommended to us by our interior designer and he didn't disappoint. We wanted something unique for our fireplace and primary shower that our builder was not capable of doing. As such, we accepted the builder's standard offering for these areas and then allowed Juan to come in afterwards to demolish what the builder provided. The resulting custom tile and stone work that he did for us was spectacular. See before and after pictures below.We also used Juan to install several new light fixtures as well as all of our cabinet hardware. See photo showing kitchen pendant and hardware that were added.His crew was always extremely polite and kept the work areas clean. We would not hesitate to use him again.

JLM remodeled our master bath and a jack & jill bath. They came to us highly recommended by a friend. We assumed that JLM may provide the typical contractor experience with the usual problems you hear about. However, this is not your typical contractor. They were exceptional in every aspect of the project. Our experience included the following: 1. Juan and his team clearly communicated with us - checking in daily on the work schedule, 2. All subcontractors always showed up on time and completed all work scheduled for the day, 3. All subs cleaned up the work area daily when done, 4. All subs were friendly, very hard working and highly competent in their trade. They were always willing to explain the details of their work,5. Juan and his sons always offered a reasonable work around if something unexpected arose during the reno, 6. No surprises in the budget. Juan was more than fair with the cost of any changes we wanted along the way. There is no question that we would use JLM again for other projects. They are truly a role model for their industry.

One of the hardest things as a homeowner when choosing a contractor? Balancing price vs quality.- Price is easy - bring in a dozen contractors and have them give you an estimate.- Quality - that's a bit more challenging. Unless you have a number of friends who have recommended "their guy" and you can attest to their quality, you are relying on reviews like mine. And who knows how much churn there has been on the team? Are you getting the same quality? What if your needs are a bit different?That's what we loved about Juan and his company:1. It's a family business. 3 generations of contractors. They know their stuff.2. The team? They've been with Juan for years. I found out some of them have been around since his boys where young (now contractors in their own right). That means they are quality and Juan takes care of them.3. Quality? That was the biggest pleasant surprise. His team is not a bunch of handymen (no offense to those who are), but each one is a specialist. Trim work/wood work? Specialist. Electrical? Specialist. You get the idea. What that meant was that they not only where experts, they also gave us input for suggestions that we may not have thought of.We had Juan and team redo our whole house before me moved in. The result? Let me give you a small taste with a before picture. The result...far better than we initially imagined!Thank you Juan, Lucas and team...we will be calling you for our next projects!!

JLM did a fantastic job on our bathroom/closet remodel. In particular the quality of work was excellent and the timeline estimate was very close. JLM was collaborative and discussed issues as they came up as we adjusted plans to accommodate surprises (like a foundation tension cable where we wanted to put a drain). The punch list was extremely small with only a touch up here and an adjustment there. I also want to call out the dust management and cleanup. Projects of this nature always involve a lot of dust and JLM did a great job of keeping it contained and did further clean up after the work was completed. I'm one of those people that don't post reviews unless the work seemed to really stand out and this is one of those instances.

JLM is a family owned contracting business and we highly recommend them. Our project involved a gut-job on our two second story guest bathrooms. It included all new floor tile and bathtub and shower tile. New quartz countertops and new shower and tub glass enclosures. They replaced a bedroom door and installed a space saving pocket door. They did an excellent job of prepping the site prior to work starting. Everything was very well protected during the entire project. They painted all the upstairs wood trim, walls and ceilings in the bathrooms, the hallway, bedrooms,. They also painted the stairway and lower the level front entry. Their paint crew was amazing! Juan, the owner, did everything to please. He communicated with us regularly and checked on the project status. He listened to what we wanted and they did it all. His sons are all involved in the business and they all are very skilled. Site cleanliness and attention to detail was practiced throughout the project. Every one of his subcontractors were respectful and skilled. They did an awesome job and we are very pleased.

Juan and hie team created for us the home we always wanted. It was a massive redo to 75% of our house, including taking in a large, internal atrium and creating an amazing backyard dining and kitchen space. Juan was so easy to work with from initial planning, through the project and even after the work was done. No one else will ever work on my house (we still have a bathroom to do). Juan worked on two of my friends houses and is now working on my brother-in-law's house. I recommend him wholeheartedly!
