Past few years I patched and tried, but finally accepted that they needed a pro.Wish I had found CSOV and Joe awhile ago! His estimate was fair, paid attention to details, the crew professional, knowledgeable, efficient, and pleasant. Clean up was complete, too. This is what is expected of true professional service, and CSOV excelled.No worries from start to finish, and the crew even worked with my fussiness like champs (not that it needed fussing, it’s just the way I tend to be).

Construction Systems of Virginia is a fantastic choice for mid-sized or smaller construction jobs – a niche that is very hard to find in this area. Joe and his team came to our rescue on a project that other construction companies either refused to bid or bid so outrageously that it was clear they didn’t actually want the work. We needed to replace our interior stairs in a house built in the late 1970s. This was due to structural concerns, not part of a larger remodel, which meant the old stairs had to be removed and replaced without damaging existing flooring or walls. We had the stairs factory built and then Construction Systems demo-ed the old stairs, installed the new ones, and performed the finishing work. We are thrilled with the result.Highlights:Fantastic communication: From first contact to completion of the project, Joe was more responsive than any contractor we have worked with.Problem solving: This was a very tricky project, with lots of on-the-fly decisions required. The foreman on the project did an amazing job of assessing each situation, consulting us when appropriate, and making the best decision under the circumstances.Flexibility: We had a number of hiccups along the way because we chose to have the stair manufacturer install the railings. We should have had Construction Systems do the railings! The railing installation turned into a nightmare with numerous re-dos needed by the stair company, requiring Construction Systems to modify their schedule to accommodate problems caused by the other contractor. At each step, Construction Systems worked with us to keep things on track so that we could get back to a livable, safe environment for our family. Construction Systems is very busy. They do a great job juggling all of their various projects and weave them together as efficiently as possible. (They don’t stand around watching paint dry. They do a coat, jump to a different job, then come back to do another coat.) This allows them to be flexible when problems arise on your end (like they did for us) but also requires flexibility from their clients.Reasonable pricing and settlement: We had large construction companies literally bid 3 times as much for the same work. As with any project like this, there were changes in scope along the way and Construction Systems was fair and reasonable at every step.Cleanliness and care: The work crew protected our wood floors and cleaned up thoroughly as they went, minimizing construction dust and making us feel like they truly cared about taking care of our home,

CSOVA was terrific on several home projects and we highly recommend them. They did a terrific job on a new garden patio with pavers, wall, and firepit area, reconstructed an old porch, did a big basement paint and rehab job after a flood, installed a sump pump, and more. Joe is super responsive and knowledgeable, his men are hard-working, and we are very glad to have found them.
