We are so grateful for Creative Steps Dance Studio, specifically the directors and our teacher, Ms Sophia! My son has special needs and sometimes exhibits challenging behaviors, but they always welcomed him with patience, kindness, and genuine inclusion. Over the years, I learned that inclusion is not done by following definitions; teachers must have the heart to love kids and their differences! This is how Ms Sophia approaches my son. She created a space where he feels seen, supported, and excited to dance each week. It means so much to me as a parent to see him celebrated for who he is, and to be part of such a positive, encouraging community. Ms Sophia and the directors go above and beyond to make dance accessible and joyful for every child.

I cannot say enough about this studio! This is the most inclusive studio in Newton, as a parent of a LGBTQ teen, it’s nice to know that my teen is in a place that’s welcoming and safe. My kid came out while dancing at Creative Steps, Miss Michelle was so supportive and welcoming. The staff cares for each kid they teach and it shows ! If your looking for a studio that’s inclusive, focused on dance and not just winning competitions, this is the studio for you !

Miss Michelle and her CSDS is one of the best! Adaptive, flexible schedule, inclusive, well organized, and so much fun! They provide Nutcracker show in December and end of the year recital in June. It's optional, very low key and relaxed but very well organized and beautifully planned. I couldn't recommend more to anyone who has a dancing dream kid at home.

Can not speak more highly of Creative Dance Steps and their staff. My daughter has been dancing here for years and it is her second home. She has developed so much confidence and made many friends. Their flexible policy makes it so easy to be part of their program.

Both of my daughters have been attending since they were 3 years old. We love the Studio, Miss. Michelle and all of the teachers and staff! As we wind up another great year of dance lessons and an amazing recital, my girls are already looking forward to starting classes again in the fall.

Our daughter has danced with Creative Steps for the past 12 years. We highly recommend this dance school because they focus on and listen to their students thereby addressing their every need. The teachers are passionate about dance and patient with all dancers from toddlers to teens. Year to year, we have see the growth in dance technique with our daughter. Miss Michelle accommodates her students as best she can, and listens to feedback from parents. She also communicates any and all changes in a timely manner. Rehearsal and recitals are quite organized and no hassle on parents or students. And there’s no question that they choose the best costumes and routines. If we had to choose again, we’ll always choose Creative Steps.

Creative Steps is the best! We’ve been here 10 years. Very supportive and our dance has learned and grown, supported and been supported. Just a great, fun, prosocial environment! Looking forward to another great year!!! Costumes at the end of year show are amazing! Fun choreography. Ms. Michelle and staff are kind and straightforward.

My kids have tried several different locations for dance class, but have finally found their home at Creative Steps! Why? Because it's about joy. Ms. Michelle has created a low-stress, highly flexible environment that is well-organized and fun! The idea of dance class can be intimidating, but Creative Steps is the opposite of intimidating - they are completely inclusive and transparent about what the kids are learning, and offer opportunities for performance that my kids look forward to. Ms. Michelle takes families' needs into account for scheduling, and offers plenty of options for kids of all ability levels. My kids have enjoyed their dance classes and have also enjoyed the summer program and pop-up mini-camps. It's a place they are happy and get to explore new things, and I couldn't ask for more than that. I'm so thankful we found this studio!

My 9 year old is on year 5 at Creative Steps, and we have never felt the need to go anywhere else. The flexible and fun environment lets kids be who they are. The director, Michelle, has always been so accomodating, letting my daughter switch to different classes as needed. I also appreciate that there is no dance attire requirement, as this does not work for all kids. On top of all that, the teachers are fantastic, and I have loved seeing my daughter learn, grow, and become more confident as a dancer.

My daughter absolutely loves Creative Steps!! She has made some incredible friendships from her classes as well as her Company Team!! It is such a nurturing and caring atmosphere with Fantastic teachers and an Amazing Owner!! The whole team are just gems!!
