When Dr. Noorda filled a simple tiny cavity, I was in pain and could not open my mouth all the way for over a week! I’ve just never been to a dentist in all my life that created more pain for simple procedures, and the hygienists being so pushy. I will never be going back. That includes my entire family. Again, it was so great when he was in his other office. But it has changed so dramatically. Less

I remember that Merit Dental closed some time ago and referred us to Corner Canyon Family Dental. While their treatment was fine, their billing process has been questionable. I feel that the staff at Corner Canyon Family Dental who handle insurance claims lack expertise and are, at times, rude to patients. For example, my insurance covers gray fillings at no cost, but they treated my wife with white fillings, which are only covered at 80% by our insurance. They claimed it was their standard to use white fillings, seemingly just to charge us more. They even disparaged gray fillings as being “low standard,” which felt like an excuse. Eventually, they sent us a bill for $129. When I asked why we weren’t given the option to choose between gray or white fillings, they shifted the blame, stating that the decision was made between the doctor and the patient. However, no such discussion ever took place. We would have chosen based on what our insurance fully covered. When I pressed further and questioned their process, the staff member became defensive, hung up the call, and threatened to send the bill to collections if I didn’t pay immediately. I paid the bill right away but decided to share my experience. If you’re considering treatment at Corner Canyon Family Dental, I recommend thoroughly checking their policies and standards beforehand to avoid unexpected expenses. Less

My husband had a similar experience with a different dentist the other side of the hall, so it seems to be a practice policy not to sell you procedures you don’t need. Overall, I was very impressed. She felt her hygienist (Brooke Nestman) did the deepest and most thorough clean she’s ever had. She was also very impressed with how informative her hygienist was about the health of her teeth, gums & the acidity levels that will help keep her healthy. She showed me a chart that she was given,(and hung it on our fridge) that gives great quick reminders to stay cavity free. As a mom sending her kid off to college, I’m happy she was taught some new things to help her keep her mouth healthy. Thank you! Less
