It's great to find a company that fights to keep old world skills alive. Having been in the trade for 30 years it is invaluable to have a company not only be a resource for very hard to find materials, but they also offer classes to educate about the skills required. This is a nice store with friendly associates, but the return policy is brutal. It makes sense not to accept returns on mixed paint, used items and the like, but why not accept a return for standard off the shelf primer? It looks like the other paint store I like does, so I’ll be using that one from now on. Less

Exceptionally knowledgeable staff, I’ll give them that. Lovely shop as well. Unfortunately also extremely pretentious in our experience. This was not a one time experience. We have since decided to give our business to Miller paint, which is the polar opposite. They sell the same paint. Will we use Brush & Trowel in the future? Maybe, due to the expertise, if we need assistance in that regard. Why am I writing this review? I hope the owner reads it and takes it to heart. You have such great potential for an absolutely fantastic store. No matter who the customer is, or how knowledgeable you think they are, or aren’t, or whether or not they fit the profile of your typical customer, you should remember that you are there to impart knowledge to others kindly, and to be truly happy to help any customer who is in your store working to improve their home. I love, love, love this store! Kelley and December are extremely knowledgeable. Whether you’re in need of a pretty paint color or maybe a new wall texture, this is the place to go! I promise you won’t be disappointed! Can hardly wait to attend some of their classes! Less
