I have always wanted to learn to play the cello. Now retired, I approached Forte school of Music with a view to taking lessons. My enquiry was received with enthusiasm and encouragement as never too old to learn something new. I have been having lessons for half a term now with a great teacher and, as a result, making good progress. It's local to me, very easy to get to and such a friendly environment and I really enjoy my weekly lessons. It's also great to see so many people, of all ages, taking lessons there. I thoroughly recommend the school to anyone who is considering music lessons, particularly adults who want to return to an instrument or begin something new.

My son has really been enjoying his guitar lessons. He was really nervous about starting the lessons but was made to feel very comfortable and it is great to see him slowly build his confidence. There is good communication about what to practice at home which really helps too. Many thanks!

Discovered Forte music via a google search for a piano teacher.Have since had my taster lesson which was a great gesture of half price and has since continued to go back.Peter has been really helpful in helping me find the balance between work and getting my lessons in.As for my teacher Helen.She is superb. Really kind & patient as I find my feet as an adult student. The course books are really good.The whole set up is fantastic!

My daughter has attended Forte school since a toddler and started her music journey in the jungle music classes, she is now reading music and loves to perform concert pieces in class and at home on the piano. I’ve been really impressed with the interactive style of teaching. Ottilie is confident and proud of her achievements and these are recognised not only by my myself, but celebrated by the school.

Forte School of Music’s Jungle Music is great for the boys I nanny for. They get all of the children up & involved in every part of the session. They enjoy picking their instruments or items from the baskets. The boys love their session. Always excited to go back every week. I would 100% recommend Forte for your children too.

Forte have been really great at getting my son Arthur started with his drumming. Declan is a super teacher who is patient and enthusiastic, and a person Arthur really looks up to.Forte as a whole are also very nice and easy to talk to. Whether it be issues around billing, catch up lessons, concerts or celebrating individuals, they are really accommodating and there is a sense of community about the place.Fully reccommend them!
