Excellent service. Receptionist Lynn was a delight to speak too. Gavin was extremely knowledgeable and talked endlessly on latest lens technology which I was interested in. After hearing him out, I decided to go for the Nikon lens and the difference is like night and day compared to my old (5 month old lens) which I had done from a well known high street opticians. Albeit slightly on the expensive side it is pretty much you get what you paid for. Very happy with the service and quality of the Nikon lens. Definitely know where to go to get my next set of glasses.

After reading so many positive reviews, I decided to choose Winstanley & Sons Opticians for my first pair of varifocals, as I knew they specialised in them. It was definitely the right decision!From start to finish, Gavin, Andrea and Lynn were fantastic. They were incredibly knowledgeable, patient, friendly and genuinely took the time to make sure I found the right lenses and frames. As it was my first pair of varifocals, they explained everything clearly and made the whole experience feel relaxed and reassuring.I chose the bespoke frames, and I absolutely love them – they were worth every penny.What really made the experience stand out was the personal touch. I'd mentioned I had a big birthday coming up, and they surprised me with a lovely gift. It was such a thoughtful and unexpected gesture that meant a lot.If you're looking for exceptional customer service, expert advice and quality eyewear, I can't recommend Gavin, Andrea and Lynn highly enough. A truly first-class experience!

Winstanly was the complete opposite.From the moment I walked in, the team were attentive, genuinely caring, and incredibly thorough. They took the time to explain everything properly, answered all my questions, and made me feel completely at ease throughout the whole process. The level of personal service was outstanding and something that's becoming increasingly rare these days.What really stood out was how much they cared about getting things right rather than simply rushing through an appointment.
