Having sworn off high street opticians thanks to bad experiences, and yet finding some independents were tied to one particular lens manufacturer, it was a relief to discover Winstanley & Son. From making the appointment to having the eye test to choosing the frames & lenses to the fitting, it was all so friendly and easy-going. At no point did I feel I was being rushed or pressured into a particular lens or frames. In the end I chose Nikon varifocals, and they are working well, and my new frames fit like a glove. Top marks all round.

I saw their advert on Instagram promoting their expertise in varifocals, and they certainly lived up to it. I’d had problems with my previous pair, and they immediately understood and explained that it was something they hear quite often.The service was excellent from start to finish — friendly, knowledgeable and professional throughout. Most importantly, the end result is fantastic. These are genuinely the best glasses I’ve ever had.Thank you, guys! Highly recommended, especially if you’re looking for varifocals.
