South Coast Pickleball

I’ve had such a great experience with South Coast Pickleball over the past couple of weeks. The competitions they run are genuinely accommodating for all skill levels. They divide everyone into Divisions 1, 2 and 3 (with 1 being the highest level), and they clearly note each player’s DUPR rating and skill level. It means you’re always playing people at a similar standard, so the games are competitive, fair and actually fun. It’s never one-sided - you get proper rallies, good competition, and a real chance to improve. The organisers are awesome. They’re always there early, super organised, and they even bring extra paddles and balls in case you forget yours. The time slot is perfect too - 7pm to 9pm - which works really well if you’ve got work or other commitments during the day. You can get a solid amount of games in without it taking over your whole night. At $15 for two hours (including court hire and balls), it’s more than fair. They also run a live leaderboard tracker and update DUPR ratings with weighted results based on who you’re playing, which adds a really cool competitive element. On top of that, they’re super prompt with communication. I get a text each week with a sign-up link, it shows available spots, and it’s incredibly easy to book in. They’ve made the barrier to entry basically non-existent.It’s quickly become one of the events I genuinely look forward to each week. Highly recommend if you’re looking for well-run, competitive and fun pickleball.
