Subscribing to this person's self defense instruction will get you seriously injured or worse. It is clear from their social media content that they do not have the expertise to be instructing anyone on how to defend themselves, let alone women and children. They have disabled the comments on their videos to avoid being called out for this by the greater martial arts community. It is clear that they are taking advantage of people who do not know any better for profit. If you value your safety please avoid this place and go to a reputable gym.Re: the proprietor,I understand that your business has been trusted for 25 years, but the fact is it is easy to gain the trust of people who do not know any better - particularly in the world of martial arts/self defense. There are so many examples of businesses capitalizing on this for profit that they have their own name: "McDojos". Most of your students will never be in a physical confrontation that would teach them that the confidence you have sold them is false. My concern is for those who will, as the techniques I have personally seen you instruct are entirely ineffective and may cause someone to be seriously injured if used in a real altercation.But I do agree, readers should not just take my word for it - they should weigh the opinions of the entire martial arts community. Unfortunately, by virtue of blocking comments on your social media content, you have created an echo chamber that leaves no room for this feedback. My 18 year old niece and did a self defense workshop before she goes to college. Coach Bethany could not have been better. Both he and her associate were extremely helpful give tips and moves that will be useful but were not overwhelmingI would refer this studio to anyone

The instructors are absolutely phenomenal, they strike the perfect balance of being patient, encouraging, and holding the kids accountable. Since joining, I've noticed a massive boost in my son’s self-confidence. They do a wonderful job of teaching self-defense while emphasizing core values like respect and discipline. Would definitely recommend!

I love going here. The work outs are challenging but doable and they cater to all fitness levels. The staff is nonjudgmental and want everyone to meet their goals.
