Darrel is a true professional and a master of his craft. His equipment, tackle, knowledge, insight, skill and overall expertise is truly at the top of his profession. I highly recommend the extended trip option. If a client very much wants to significantly up their fishing knowledge, skill and ability, then I would seriously recommend spending time on the water with Darrel.

Darrell was a terrific teacher! I consider myself a pretty good caster but Darrell added another level to my cast. With his patient words and instruction, my cast improved to being able to cast farther with my dry fly which is so important when sight fishing for those rising noses, even in the "W".

I learned more on this trip than all other trips combined! Darrel truly has a passion for teaching. Patience, clear instructions, and humor all while catching fish. When I get back to the Missouri, I’m only calling Trouthunters! Thanks Darrel! (I’m practicing!)

Cannot say enough good things about the crew at Montana Trout Hunters. We called them last minute on a Saturday night and they got us an all day trip the next morning. Not only did they jump through hoops to make sure we got the trip, they put us on the fish. Great crew great experience, best day ever 👍

My husband and I had a great day with Darrel on The Missouri River. The day was unexpectedly quite windy but we made the most of our trip regardless. Darrel is passionate and an expert at Fly Fishing and the river and he did his best to extend his knowledge to us but it is much harder than we expected so we will have to continue our education with him at a later date lol. His teaching made a good day even better as it was fun learning to do something new together as a couple! Despite our learning curve we had a good time and managed to net 3 trout. The lunch Darrel provided was top notch and was quickly devoured. We hope to schedule a future trip with Montana Trout Hunters.

Darryl Deleon runs a great trip! I have fished with him many times over the past 10 years and he works tirelessly to get us on fish even in tough conditions. He knows the Missouri like the back of his hand. Thanks again Darryl and see you next year!
