He made sure I was 100% confident in what I had learned and what I was doing before we left. Although I have shot my husbands handgun before I have never had the proper training on how to hold a firearm for the best aim and least possibility of hurting myself from improper grip, which he actually explained the how’s and why instead of just stating the possibility of getting hurt. I appreciate it when the how’s and why’s are explained because it helps to have a better understanding of firearms. He didn’t just stop being a guide when the class was over. He proceeded to guide me in the right direction of where to go to apply for my concealed and what the full process is when going. I was nervous not having my husband with me shooting since I always go with him but this was a very relaxed course and his open and calm approach as an instructor not a gun enthusiast is what helped me to be comfortable. I have been recommending him to all my family and friends especially my female friends who are hesitant about taking the course. He even took a photo of me shooting so I could have which I greatly appreciated since I always forget to get one and he proactively took the photo for me to have. He thinks ahead and about the person he is training and what they might need or want before they are even aware. He was a great instructor and I hope everyone else has a great experience like I did. Overall the course was interesting and informative as a Florida resident and the states statutes. The online instructor Ryan gave first hand experiences to put the laws discussed in better perspective. The overall online portion of the course is pretty easy and straightforward. Go at your own pace, good information on gun safety. The hands on portion is pretty cool, especially for it being my first time. The instructor definitely prepares you prior to shooting live ammunition. When you sign up for the concealed carry permit class you even get five bonus videos that you can refer to when you're done, in addition to being able to refer back to your concealed carry permit courses at any time!!!
