They called me back within minutes of my initial request for a quote and the owner came out within a couple days. Quote price was reasonable.Second - He LISTENED! He HEARD everything I said and made suggestions which resulted in us getting exactly what we wanted, and then some. This guy knows his stuff.  Very knowledgeable, and personable too!Third - he and his crew run like a well-oiled machine. When they get started, they run full-throttle all day long, except for a much-deserved 1-hour lunch break. They started at 8am and didn't leave until 7:30pm. I was exhausted just watching them!! 😄Fourth - Our job was not an easy one.  We had 20 trees removed and stumps ground above a stone terraced wall. We also had three large trees next to our house that we're leaning towards our patio and house. And finally there were trees around my husband's "Man Cabin," one of which was about six inches from the corner of the cabin, and another tree was a few feet from our power line. No damage whatsoever. Didn't even have to call the power company to cut off the power!Fifth - They cleaned up after themselves. I mean like, REALLY cleaned up - it was better than before they came!!! A couple of the large trees were on a stream bank and tricky to access. We also had a fiber optic cable running near one of the trees. We need not have worried. Wow!! Just completed a large residential tree removal, stump grinding, and tree/shrub pruning project with J’s Woodpecker Tree Service. Couldn’t be more impressed. They arrived early and on time each morning and worked tirelessly until sunset. Without using cranes, their fearless tree climbing arborists and ground support rope crew used highly skilled techniques leveraging other trees or their own equipment to fell large limbs and trees, landing them in a safe location. It’s amazing to watch how quickly they do this and how they communicate with one another in spite of the noise of chainsaws, chippers, stump grinders, etc. The owner, Jesus Flores, is a pleasure to do business with and was on the job overseeing the vast majority of the work. Seeing how they work, other neighbors called them for estimates which is a compliment to the work they do. Their final cleanup work left the property in better shape than they found it. I would highly recommend them and will use them again as our remaining trees and shrubs (and all the new landscaping planned) will require pruning and upkeep over the coming years. Less

I highly recommend J’s Woodpecker Tree Service! Recently, I had an 85-foot (or higher) oak tree in my backyard that was quickly becoming hazardous and, unfortunately, required removal. Because all the houses are closer together and driveways narrower in my part of town, the process of tree removal is more precarious. Nevertheless, Jesus and his crew from J’s Woodpecker Tree Service did an outstanding job removing that huge tree and completing the project as if they had never even been there. Jesus’ crew was both professional and incredibly efficient. Somehow, they managed a 2-day job in only 1 day! Whereas every other tree removal company I got bids from told me my oak could only be removed using an enormous crane, Jesus was able to take the tree down manually and systematically with ropes. This process prevented certain damage to the landscaping and driveway. Jesus was also a pleasure to work with and his pricing very reasonable. Very pleased with their work today. We had a lot of trees cut and they were very careful, clean and professional. They cleaned as they went and even moved plants and put them back and then watered all of our plants. Excellent job! Excellent price too! Jesus and his team were great. He was very clear on the work that would be done and the price during our initial inspection of the trees, and his team showed up right on time on the day we scheduled. They worked very hard throughout the day and cleaned up all loose scraps while they packed up once the job was complete. Jesus came out, looked at what I needed done and gave a very reasonable quote for the work. His team showed up on the scheduled day and did a great job on removing a large pine an pruning several others. When they where don, they cleaned up like they had never been. Very happy with the job and I will have them back out in the fall to remove some more trees.... More
