He came over for a chat about what I wanted to do and sent me a detailed breakdown of the work involved and cost for each part. Luke booked me in to start the job and then kept me up to date when bad weather delayed him on his previous job.Luke and Jack conduct themselves in such a professional manner and have been reliable and dependable every step of the way. They work so hard and their attention to detail is fantastic. We used Luke to renew some feather edged fencing in our garden. Luke’s quote was clear and highly itemised and he was willing to discuss options for getting the most for our money. Throughout the job Luke was an extremely good communicator and highly responsive to messages. Friendly and cheerful on the job and worked extremely hard along with his workmate Jack. The fence has been completed to an impressive standard with deep and secure footings for the fence posts with precise levels and finish throughout. Thrilled with the fence and the standard of work. Back garden was masassively overgrown. Although this is a relatively small job compared to his other work, Luke came and gave me a quote, which he adapted to cover my needs and wishes. We agreed a price and he came a few days later with his team. Weeds and brambles were taken to the ground and bushes I wanted to keep were preserved where possible. The front bed was dug to a deeper level (through hard-core) and topsoil was purchased on my behalf and laid for me. Care was taken to cover windows and conservatory to prevent damage by flying stones. Overall a professional, excellent service.January 2025I have had Luke back to do further work. He replaced all old slabs, raised beds and decking with porcelain tiles. Removing seven skiploads of waste.Luke and Jack did an excellent job. They kept the site tidy as they went and ensured I was snug and warm while the house was open to allow them to take the excavation waste etc through to the skip in front. Not having side access could have been a major problem and indeed resulted in a lot of dust but Luke was extremely careful as he drove an excavating machine through my kitchen! When my wall was knocked down by skip delivery, Luke fixed it for me.As with many building projects, time slipped slightly due to weather and unforeseen other delays but labour hours worked were exact. Budget was adjusted slightly to cover additional costs for tiles, grout and slate instead of stone chippings. When costing the job I also bore in mind the 20% VAT which is often forgotten and can raise the cost of a project beyond the original budget. Luke was very accommodating regarding design and materials I wanted and recommended options that would aid as my sight continues to fail.If you want someone with good work ethics and a "can do""attitude then Luke is your man.

This was going to be a big and difficult job from the beginning with over 100 ton of soil being removed from the garden.But Luke was only one of two people interested in doing the job due to the scale of it.He had a detailed and comprehensive breakdown of costs, great communication and he made some suggestions on the design and materials. This extra care decided it for us that Luke was our man.Luke personifies hard work and hard graft but he is also meticulous, thorough, professional and knows how he wants it to look.
