Blue Laguna Pool Services

We had this company for a little over a year and didn't have any issues but last week that changed. Our tech serviced our pool and as he left he waved and gave a thumbs up indicating all was well. Few hours later I se my chlorine tablet float is in pieces in my pool with no lid. I contacted Allen to ask about why this was broken in my pool and why i wasn't told anything about it. Days later he responds that hes sorry his tech did that and apparently scolded him about for not notifying anyone that it broke. I assumed that since his tech broke it ,left it in our pool in pieces ,and didn't say anything to anyone about it that Allen would do the right thing and replace this inexpensive item. Instead he refuses to do that and essentially blames us the home owner for it being a wear item that needed replacing and that he warned us about weaar items when we first began our contract. He also then tries to sell me a $500 product instead of offering to replace the broken float. To give context, he did tell us the items that wear over time are not covered in our service ,which is fine, but the float was brand new when he told us this and if the tech saw it was needing to be replaced it should have been communicated to us before his tech broke it, threw it back in out pool in pieces with no lid, and then nor say anything to anyone about it! Not afterwards!!! I feel at that point the wear item conversation was no longer relevant! How would anyone know it was actually worn anyway when he disposed of the pieces he broke and then hid the fact he did it by not telling anyone? As a loyal paying customer, who's also spent thousands of dollars with Allen/ Blue Laguna to install a new pool heater,I hoped he would say he would replace this inexpensive item. Instead he gave excuses, tried to sell me an expensive install, and ultimately refused to replace it. This lack of integrity and unwillingness to to make his customer happy by correcting his techs obvious mistake is the result of this poor review. His willingness to lose our business is very telling that a few dollars mean more to him than a satisfied customer.
