My 2 boys attend this dojo and absolutely love it. As a parent it is so great to see my children grow and learn in a positive, supportive environment. Their discipline, strength and most of all, thier self confidence has grown so much. Their Sensei has been a wonderful teacher. I look forward to watching my boys continue on this journey!

This is a great Karate dojo located in Maple Ridge. Our kids have really enjoyed their time here so far. They have also learned a lot about discipline and respect. It's great to see them feel so accomplished when they earn a new belt. Sensei Jack has been a great teacher for the kids.

Curran's Karate has been a great confidence builder for our 6 yr old son. He has been attending twice a week since February 2026 and it is something he looks forward to. We love how Sensei Ron and Sensei Jack strike a perfect balance between discipline and support for the young ones.Sensei Jack is a great instructor and our son talks about how much he likes the class and is always eager to talk about the new moves he's learned.In the 6 months he has been attending he has shown increased core strength and a surprising amount of flexibility. He shows more focus at home and can manage his emotions better.They have a gamified app (MyDojoWorld) that acts as a chore management tool that our son absolutely loves. He now is thinking of different "challenges" he can do to get credit such as putting away his dishes. We review it together every night as a family and our son is sad when he forgets to make his bed! It also makes parents accountable for supporting their young ones as they don't get credit unless you confirm their challenges.We would definitely recommend Curran's Karate for any family that is looking for a physical activity that is different than the typical team sports.

Our daughter has been attending Currans Karate for almost two years, and we couldn’t be happier with the experience.
