We’ve had such a wonderful experience with Sensei Jack over the past four months!What makes him such a great teacher is that he sees the potential in every child, whether they are naturally confident or need a little extra encouragement to find their courage. He truly believes that Karate is for everyone, and he creates an environment where every child is given the opportunity to grow, become stronger, and believe in themselves.If you have a shy child, or one who struggles with the idea of going to class, I would highly encourage you to give Sensei Jack a few weeks. We remember the days when my son would cry before class, and there were moments when we almost thought about giving up. But with Sensei Jack’s patience and encouragement, we’ve seen such a wonderful transformation. He now looks forward to Karate, trusts Sensei Jack, and genuinely looks up to him. That relationship has played a huge part in motivating him to keep showing up and pushing himself.As parents, seeing our child become more confident, brave, and willing to try new things is incredibly rewarding.We’re grateful for the past four months and excited to see how much more our son will grow. Sensei Jack is the BEST! He has really helped my kiddo find his center. He is calmer , more focused and his sense of pride has grown! If your kiddo needs help with Self-Discipline this is a great place to start!

I trained in karate from the age of 8 through 17 and earned my black belt, so I know firsthand how much a good dojo can teach you—not just martial arts, but discipline, confidence, respect, and perseverance. Coming back to the dojo now with my own son has been especially rewarding. It’s great to see him learning those same values and enjoying the experience.We’ve had a really positive experience here, and I’m grateful to have found a dojo where my son can learn, grow, and build confidence in a supportive environment. I’d definitely recommend it to other parents looking for a great place for their kids to train!

Curran’s Karate was an unreal experience for my son! It gave him so many skills not only in the dojo but outside. Highly recommended!!

My 2 boys attend this dojo and absolutely love it. As a parent it is so great to see my children grow and learn in a positive, supportive environment. Their discipline, strength and most of all, thier self confidence has grown so much. Their Sensei has been a wonderful teacher. I look forward to watching my boys continue on this journey!

This is a great Karate dojo located in Maple Ridge. Our kids have really enjoyed their time here so far. They have also learned a lot about discipline and respect. It's great to see them feel so accomplished when they earn a new belt. Sensei Jack has been a great teacher for the kids.
