Where do I begin. On Thursday night I saw water coming from the basement floor against the walls, no pipes seemed to be broken, I was unsure of who to call. The next morning the water began to rise. I wanted to have a specialist come out and diagnose the problem, not a water proofing specialist to come sell me a product or service, I needed to know where the leak was coming from! I decided to call NJ Water and Mold as they did water remediation. I called at 8am, and they had their project manager to our home within 15m. Erin came to our house in his uniform with his tools ready to diagnose. The hardest part is the diagnosis, after checking the walls, pipes, etc, Erin was able to diagnose the problem in less than 10m. It was Sump Pump malfunction. Once we were able to get it working the water started draining. The level of relief to know what the problem was after the extreme stress we had all night was everything we needed. Erin then got our insurance information as this is something covered, documented the damage and had his team there in the next hour to start damage control. David, John, and Francisco came in to get all the water up, clean, and set up fans. Everyone was so professional, well trained, and efficient. My mother had a water leak in her bathroom ceiling in Fort Lee, NJ originating from an upstairs condo unit. NJ Water & Mold was very professional and attentive, carefully removing the ceiling and covering all of the fixtures in the bathroom and even the floors from the front door leading to the bathroom. They sealed the bathroom with plastic zippered door while they made sure to remove any particles, spray down the walls and scrub the air for mold. They left air scubbers in the unit for several days and after completing the job, they cleaned/sanitized the bathroom thoroughly. Our finished basement was flooded with over 2ft of sewer water when Ida hit. Other companies we reached out to promised call backs but never got back to us. Six months later, I decided to take a chance with NJ Water and Mold (because of their reviews) and it was the best decision. They were responsive throughout the entire process, answered all our questions, and they truly understood our project's individual needs. They ask a ton of questions but I believe it’s to gauge the extent of your project and determine your options. We just completed the mold remediation process and it went smoothly and just as they described. My only recommendation is if you're sensitive to scents plan accordingly for 1-2 days of intense odors (it went away quickly as they described, I just wasn’t prepared for that and I know others with allergies would like to know). I also appreciated the humanity extended to us, we had an unexpected death in the family and they understood our situation and helped us reschedule and offered their condolences. After all the stress Ida caused my family this was a pleasant way to get back on track. We still have to waterproof and repair and we're planning to work with NJ Water and Mold for this process as well. Less

I had a leaking radiator on the second floor that had water dripping through the floor into the first floor ceiling for over 12 hours before anyone noticed. There was dirty water everywhere. We called late Saturday night and they were able to have a team at our house early the next morning. They had sensors to check exactly where all the still water pooled inside the ceilings and walls was and had the equipment to dry it all out. It was all set up in a few hours with the machines running for a few days before it was all cleaned up. I would recommend NJ Water and Mold for any emergency water damage situations.
