Although the author refers to the 'universe' and I attribute this Generosity/ blessing value to God, the heart of the message is something that very much resonated with me.Jake covers:GivingImpacting ValueVivid ValueWager engagementRelational richeswithin this gem of a book.As a Christian, the heart of these principles are things I try to apply every day, ideally without any agenda, ask, or need for myself. It's an ideal I try to walk in daily. I've been given gifts that can benefit those around me, and they have gifts that I need as well.Oh to live in a world where everyone is walking in and sharing their gold with one another!!!That aside: it was interesting to read a book that spoke about this ideal, without the faith element.Although I applaud any book and writer for cheering the world on, in generosity, giving and investing in others using our gifts, talents and treasure- this book felt for me- like it was missing a key component. It's a personal thing, my relationship with God is my why.... and I found myself asking about those who don't have this same faith- what is their why? What is their motivation?I didn't get a clear answer about that, it's possibly varied and complex for some, but maybe the reason giving is something that brings such riches to the giver and the receiver, is because we are designed for meaningful connection and love of one another? And when we choose to step into this place, its as if the veil is lifted and we get a glimpse of what life was meant to be! What it can be!It's a theory anyway. LolThis book is perfect for those who find themselves asking, 'Is this it?' or, 'Is life just about me alone?' Or for those who want the more out of life, but don't know where to begin.Well done for writing a book that can help inspire a richer more fulfilling life through giving. I'm thrilled that people are finally writing about and rediscovering the super power of Generosity.
