they are horrible, they TRULY have to be paying for good reviews. i've reached out a countless amount of times for the doctor to reach out to me about my guinea pig, i had to call every single day just for the doctor to still not reach out.the doctor WAS VERY very pushy as the reviews says, my guinea pig is dying because of them. i'm typing this with tears.i paid a generous amount of money & still had to go out of my pocket to get medicine from a “special pharmacy that handmade the meds” the meds didn't work on my piggy.the doctor NEVER once checked on her chest offered to do any test. this place is murderest.the doctoer laughed & told me i just have bad luck, BAD LUCK? justice for small animals with no voice.UPDATE: i had to put my sweet baby nova to rest. rip, mommy loves you 🐹

Our experience with Lincoln Avenue Cat & Dog Hospital has been nothing short of amazing. Although the circumstances that brought us here were difficult and stressful, I can confidently say there is no other place I would rather take our puppy.Our little boy, Brownie, suffered an arm fracture, and throughout the process, we felt like we were hitting a wall everywhere we turned. That all changed when we found Lincoln Avenue Cat & Dog Hospital and met Dr. Elakbawy.From the very beginning, Dr. Elakbawy went above and beyond for Brownie and our family. He took the time to thoroughly explain everything, answer our questions, and make sure we understood our options. He even stayed past his office hours to see Brownie as an emergency and provide a splint while we waited for a surgery date. During this process, we unfortunately encountered situations where it felt as though financial considerations came before the care and compassion we desperately needed. Dr. Elakbawy was the exception. His genuine concern for Brownie and our family shone far brighter than anything else. It was clear that his dedication goes beyond a paycheck; he truly cares about the animals he treats and the families who love them. That level of compassion and commitment meant more to us than words can express. Unfortunately, we had not received the same level of attention or these additional measures from Brownie’s previous primary veterinarian, and after meeting Dr. Elakbawy, I immediately knew we needed to make the switch.Although Brownie’s fracture was a challenging case, Dr. Elakbawy took it on with confidence, skill, and genuine concern for our little boy. He successfully repaired Brownie’s fracture and, most importantly, helped bring our happy boy back to us. We are beyond grateful for everything he has done for Brownie.Dr. Elakbawy is attentive not only to his patients but also to the people who love them. He makes you feel heard, informed, and supported every step of the way. The office staff deserves recognition as well. Everyone has been friendly, welcoming, and compassionate throughout the entire process, which made an incredibly stressful experience so much easier to navigate.We cannot recommend Lincoln Avenue Cat & Dog Hospital enough! What started as a frightening and overwhelming situation turned into finding a veterinary team we genuinely trust. I am leaving a negative review as this hospital is negligent, does not properly care for animals, or communicate with the owners of the animals that seek care at this hospital.My dog recently passed away because the negligent care and lack of communication. My dog was taken for frequent checkups, as well as had all the necessary vaccinations and dental care. However, upon my dogs last check up in April, the hospital never shared the results of the bloodwork until after she had passed, more than 6 months later. Stating my dog had an infection and should be put on antibiotics was the extent of the results of the bloodwork I was told in April 2025. Then the following October my dog seemed to be lethargic. I took her in for additional bloodwork X-rays, other "essential" tests, and spent thousands of dollars only for her to pass away a few days later. The hospital took no responsibility for this when her results in April had indicated that she was not well. I was told she had an infection I then followed instruction and put her on the antibiotics.The hospital is claiming that they have me on recording saying information that I never stated, and indicating I was aware of other diseases that she may have had, when I was never told any of these details.In addition, the hospital violates the rights of the owners of the animals that are under care. This hospital, lacks morals and violates common ethical guidelines, including laws being that they provided personal information over the Internet, that was never consented to be provided. No surprise they are not on the BBB website.The HOSPITAL does not take responsibility for their negligent actions, and then try to flip the blame on the owners of the pets that come to this hospital. I would not recommend taking your beloved animal to this hospital unless you are not interested in the long-term health of your pet, as they do not and are willing to provide quick responses or provide copies of blood work after stating that the blood work was absolutely necessary. Providing bloodwork and documents about your dogs health should not have been held to be shared until after the dog has passed. But now they will not take the blame. Again, I stated my dog received bloodwork in April and then again in October and I did not receive copies of the bloodwork until after my dog was gone, when the bloodwork clearly showed that my dog had not been well. The practice lacks empathy and the practice manager lacks morals, as well as common business ethic, declaring statements that are not accurate on the Internet, as well as people's personal information that was not consented to be provided. However, this hospital will spend the time to comment back on reviews, providing information that is not accurate, irrelevant and unethical, but they will not communicate results of a pets blood work when absolutely necessary.Please do your due diligence and find an establishment that actually cares for animals and it's not so blatantly interested in making a profit. To the hospital, you can feel free to respond and continue adding defamatory information that is not accurate as you have done with all the other reviews that claim the truth about your practice, I pray for the sake of others who love their pets, they will read these reviews and make the right choice in finding a hospital that can properly care and communicate with the owners of the pets that go to their care. Not a hospital that would rather spend their time battling on the Internet, disclosing personal information about the owners of the pets that has nothing to do with the pet itself. The hospital is negligent, doesn't provide the essential care and communication that is needed to properly manage a pets health.

I brought my dog here for a torn CCL - Her surgery was quick to book, the consultation was efficient, and she is slowly healing now. I initially was quoted almost 8k for her surgery elsewhere - I paid a more reasonable price of $4900.

I brought my ferret here. They were kind and attentive. Everything you'd want in a vet. So glad we found them!EDIT: When i went back for the follow up i found out they had thw wrong sex for my ferret and they did not check for ferret adrenal disease which was what i brought him in for in the first place. They were very apologetic and still very kind. I am assuming they're much better with cats and dogs, but I wouldn't bring your ferret here.

We have two cats, one with cancer and the other with diabetes. In the 11 years we have been taking them to Lincoln Ave Cat Hospital, Dr. El-Akbawy and his staff have been exceptional in every aspect of caring for them. They provide excellent care, give us detailed information, and have helped us administer care for the cats at home. My cat had a lump on his foot, I took him to Lincoln. First thing he did was have me pay 1,710.00 dollars. The some tests and tells me my cat has cancer. I choose to put him down, because I don't want him to suffer. The next day. He called me and said for 200.00 dollars he can take take another test. My dumb self paid it, and he called me to tell me my baby was cancer free. I paid him more money. For the surgery, and the next day he called me to say AFTER! The surgery was finish my baby hart stopped. He couldn't get it back. After that I paid for his cremation. 6,119.00 dollars later. My heart is broken, my child is gone. I'm a cancer survivor, and I have no children. My cat was my child.

The staff at this veterinary clinic were exceptionally helpful. Despite their usual policy of not seeing walk-ins, the front desk was more than willing to accommodate my request to discuss my dog’s health. I highly recommend this clinic. The veterinarian was also very helpful and explained the procedure for my dog in a manner that made me feel comfortable and not pressured. I am very satisfied with this clinic and am pleased to have found The Vet 🏥🐶 from my dog.

Everyone has always been friendly and helpful. I also recently requested a quote for additional dental work for Bella and really appreciated how quickly they got back to me. Highly recommend!

EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTING EXPERIENCE AND LACK OF ACCOUNTABILITY!!!I brought my cat to Lincoln Avenue Cat & Dog Hospital for a dental cleaning. I dropped him off in the morning, as instructed, and was told that I would receive a phone call when everything was completed.I never received a single phone call.During the procedure, X-rays were taken, and the veterinarian identified a cracked tooth. Rather than contacting me to discuss the findings, explain my options, and determine how to proceed, they went ahead with the cleaning. In the process, my cat's tooth was fractured, leaving part of the tooth embedded in his jaw. I was subsequently informed that my cat now requires a root canal procedure to address the remaining tooth.This is completely unacceptable. If a veterinarian identifies a potentially compromised tooth during an examination, the owner should be contacted and given the opportunity to discuss the appropriate course of treatment. That did not happen.At approximately 4:30 PM, I still had not received a phone call. I decided to return to the hospital myself to check on my cat. When I arrived, I was told, "Oh, your cat is ready to go." A veterinary technician brought my cat out along with a tube containing a piece of his tooth. When I asked what it was, the technician casually responded, "It's just a piece of his tooth."I immediately requested to speak with a manager. The explanation I received was, "We were too busy to call you."Being too busy is not an acceptable excuse for failing to communicate with a pet owner about a significant complication involving their animal. My cat was left with a fractured tooth, and I was never consulted about the situation.Since the procedure, my cat has hardly been touching his food. I have repeatedly called the hospital to speak with the veterinarian and have the situation addressed. Every time, I speak with a receptionist, I'm told that someone will call me back, and nobody calls me back.It has now been two weeks of unacceptable patient follow-up. My cat was injured during a procedure, and I have been left struggling to get answers, appropriate follow-up, and accountability from the hospital.I expected professional veterinary care, clear communication, and responsible follow-up. Instead, I have experienced a serious breakdown in all three.I cannot recommend Lincoln Avenue Cat & Dog Hospital based on my experience. Pet owners deserve better communication, transparency, and accountability when their animals are in their care.STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE! DO NOT RISK YOUR ANIMALS HEALTH AND WELFARE! THEY WILL HURT YOUR LOVED PET!

Had my dog scene by multiple Vets for a Pancreas tumor and they were quoting crazy prices. The doc explained everything that was going to happen in surgery and everything in terms of after care. They don’t treat your pet like a number. I felt so at rest leaving him there for surgery. He felt comfy just like I was. Amazing and helpful staff. It sounds like an add as to what I’m saying but I am 100% sure they will treat your dog to an amazing standard. I have found his forever Vets. Great communication as well.

PERSONALLY, ill never come here ever again. Honestly I dont think these people care about anything but the money. To come in its 85$ but since my dog puked on their floor it then became an emergency and they charged us 155$. We didnt know it was going to cost us this much because on the phone they said 85$. They get you hard here and they do it at your weakest. Im just sharing my experience.. you can come here, or not. But they will squeeze you as much as they can. Also, theres a lot more that I could say with my other animal that has happened but Its a lot to say.
