Brad Kelley - Atlas Epoxy Floors

I hired Atlas Epoxy Floors to apply an epoxy coating to my kitchen countertops. Before they accepted the job, I explained that I had already purchased a product I trusted and only needed them to apply it. Although they agreed, the way the job was handled suggested that they had not taken the time to become familiar with the product or its application instructions. The preparation and protection of my home were inadequate. Areas were not properly taped or covered, leaving sanding dust throughout my dining room. Product or paint was left on my chairs, and my freshly painted cabinets were damaged—including a divot that was sanded into one of the cabinet drawers. The finished countertops are extremely disappointing. They have bubbles, visible lines, drips, uneven edges, and multiple areas where the original countertop color still shows through. The attached photos show only some of the problems.I made a genuine effort to work with the contractor and give him an opportunity to correct the issues. Instead of taking responsibility, I was met with excuses such as, “I lost so much money doing this job,” and a suggestion that “we” handle the taping for the corrective work—even though I had already paid him in full to complete the job properly. During the conversation, he also laughed while I was explaining my concerns, which I found extremely dismissive and infuriating. He ultimately promised to call and arrange a time to fix the work. To date, I have not received that call or any arrangements for the promised repairs.I hired a professional because I expected careful preparation, proper application, protection of the surrounding surfaces, and reasonable follow-through when problems were identified. Instead, I was left with damaged property and countertops that will require a complete redo. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this company.EDIT FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION IN RELATION TO THE RESPONSE FROM THE BUSINESS:Buyer beware—do not be misled by this public response. Despite these promises, no one ever contacted me, the work was never corrected, and the damage they caused was never repaired. No meaningful resolution was ever provided. In my experience, this response was purely for show, with no follow-through whatsoever. Please proceed with caution.
