Dr Mali is a wonderful dentist and has such a kind and caring nature. Our 4 year old daughter needed to have a procedure under inhalational sedation and Dr Mali put her completely at ease and even managed to make the experience fun for her! We needed to take couple of my daughters teeth out as they were weak and didn’t have enough mineral. First, we saw another practice to do IV sedation but my daughter didn’t accept it and didn’t want to go back there for the 2nd time. Dr Mali Dental clinic has been suggested by a family member. Visiting the dentists is daunting for the most of us, but no truer statement could be said about our son who has autism; is nonverbal; and has complex needs. My husband and I have been yo-yoing from dental practices and hospital emergency rooms as he developed a tooth pain which led to him self harming and crying in pain for 2 weeks. No one was able to assess him because a) he doesn’t tolerate clinical settings b) he doesn’t tolerate anyone looking in his mouth and c) his ninja moves will block anyone from getting a closer look. This meant that we were looking up to a year of waiting in line for an NHS hospital surgery to see him under general anaesthetic.Asking anyone and everyone we could for advice, we were recommended Dr Mali’s clinic in Fulham. We live in Essex and travelled an hour and a half. Both my husband and I having low expectations from the experiences we had before. We were welcomed by the lovely receptionist and quickly greeted by the equally lovely Dr Mali and her dental nurse. After discussing our son’s needs together we were seen in a room that didn’t have the dental chair so that he was less anxious. Dr Mali was extremely encouraging and patient with him, and tried different techniques to engage with him. She was able to assess him (and boy did our son not make it easy) and she even managed to coat his teeth in fluoride. She then talked us through our options and we have been corresponding since. Our son also left happy with a blown up glove puppet which he played with all the way home. I cannot thank the team enough for not only the service but the compassion they gave us.Dr Mali’s knowledge and level of care is truly remarkable and I cannot recommend her enough. Especially to SEN families who have a child with anxiety over dentist visits. Less

She really understood my 15 year old daughter’s fear of injections (for the anaesthetic) and patiently spent the consultation period calming her and walking her through the “happy air” process. My daughter agreed to have the treatment for fillings on that basis. During the treatment Dr Mali was so reassuring and friendly and managed to do the full treatment calmly and successfully.
