Steve is awesome!! He took the time to get to know what my dog and family needed and tailored a training plan to it. My puppy had so many negative behaviors that have now been erased. He is always available for questions and follow up visits. We highly recommend Steve to anyone.

Steve helped my 7 month old bernedoodle and I with a lot of behavioral issues and also now is off leash trained!! I cannot thank him enough for the help. Before training Scottie (my dog) was jumping on counters, stealing everything, eating anything he got in front of him, and walks were very difficult with pulling and reacting to other dogs. We did the in home ecollar training and now he doesn’t do any of those behaviors anymore! He also is off leash trained and I never would have thought that was possible for my crazy puppy. Our life is so much more calm and fun now that Steve helped train me and Scottie!! It was well worth it and I’d recommend it for everyone!

I can’t say enough good things about my experience working with John! The progress my dog has made in just a few weeks has been incredible.Before we started training, my dog would throw tantrums and tie himself up in the leash because he refuses to walk or he would simply take off the moment he had the opportunity to, getting him to stay close to me without a leash was literally impossible. Fast forward to this morning, we just went on a 3-mile walk completely off-leash and he stayed right by my side the entire time! I honestly couldn’t believe this was my dog!!!He’ll get better as we get outside more but seeing this kind of progress already makes me so excited about what’s ahead. I’m genuinely grateful for the guidance, patience and knowledge throughout this process. If you’re looking for a trainer who can help you build a better relationship with your dog and see real results, I highly recommend him!

We chose Through the leash because their approach made sense. I’m so glad we did! John is amazing to work with and our sweet Pearl has learned so much! She’s gained confidence and obeys her commands. I would highly recommend John!

My experience with Through the leash has been excellent. It has been much more about training me rather than my puppy. John is always so patient and supportive and helpedme build my confidence with handling my German shepherd puppy. The training videos were great so I could go back and practice the commands and skills.
