I hired My Cousin Vinny’s Junk Removal after receiving a remote estimate based on photos and a detailed description. While I understand quotes can change without an on-site visit, the final price more than doubled, which was surprising. This meant having to cut the job in half, and I wasn’t given the opportunity to prioritize which part needed to be done.What was most disappointing, though, was how the situation was handled. I pointed out the two areas to be cleared when the team arrived, but there was no proper reassessment or conversation about prioritizing the work. I was never given the chance to focus on the most urgent area, which was frustrating given that one space was time-sensitive due to upcoming renovations.Worse, despite being charged for certain items (like a box spring), those were not even removed. In the end, the job wasn’t completed—the garage still had multiple items left behind, the door was left wide open, and valuable non-junk items were left exposed to the rain.Now I’m left trying to figure out how to remove the remaining junk from the house before the renovation starts.Overall, the experience was disappointing. I paid more than the original quote for a job that was incomplete and handled unprofessionally. I hope the company takes this feedback seriously and makes changes going forward.ResponseI am writing to address the inaccuracies in your counter review. First and foremost, there were no mattresses involved in this job—this claim is completely false. I was specifically asked to send photos, and I complied by sending seven pictures. If only two were received on your end, that is clearly a failure on your system’s part, not mine.Additionally, if you review the item descriptions, not a single one matches the items shown in the garage photo you referenced. This indicates a clear disconnect between what was documented and what was actually present.I was never offered a second run at a discount. Instead, I was quoted $2,500—a $1,600 increase from the original price. That is not a discount by any reasonable definition.Not all items were removed from the garage as promised, and more concerningly, your team left the garage door open during rain, despite the fact that there were no junk items left inside. I have security footage showing that, as well as proof that the trailer was not even full when your team left.

Arrived when promised and immediately went to work. Had the first area cleared and in the dumpster/trailer in no time. The big room was more challenging but he had that and the third area cleared and loaded all in 1 hour and 18 minutes!! He is amazing and I strongly recommend Vinny for your clean up and hauling. Great job at a reasonable price based only on pictures of what needed to be removed.

Vinny and Laurie were awesome. Fast response time and they were always in contact. I was never worried something was going to fall through the cracks. I had a few hiccups during the process and not only did they not complain, they were there with solutions. I could not have done this clean-out without them. I would never use anyone else. THE BEST.
