Fife roofers reroofed my conservatory, getting rid of the polycarbonate roof and replacing it with a new solid roof. It has been a revelation in terms of noise reduction and heat insulation. It has given us back a room that we had given up on in summer and winter. Technically the job is well thought through, five layers of roof in total. The fitters were very experienced and knowledgable about the materials and gave a lot of confidence. They also turned up on time, were very polite and tidy. Would actually give a rating of three and half. Mixed experience. We had the roof slates replaced and cladding installed on a sitting room extension at rear of property. The professionalism and service provided by Barry and the crew during the job was excellent. Arrived on time each day, crew worked hard keeping us updated as the job progressed, always tidied up at the end of each day. The downside for us was after job was completed. There was no follow up, I expected at least a courtesy call asking how things were and if we had any issues, but no. Also, on completion, they left us with a number of roof tiles, that has turned out to be quite fortunate as we have had to replace a number of tiles due to cracking/splitting. I wanted to like this company - replacing our guttering was done quickly and communication was good before the work was done. Not so good afterwards, though. As soon as it rained, it became clear that the diverter for the rainwater butt hadn't been fitted to the downpipe correctly. I contacted the company and kept being promised someone would come round soon but it never seemed to happen. After much chasing, they finally came round three months later to fix it. However, even though I was in they didn't knock at the door to ask or check what needed to be done. By the time I realised they didn't know how to fit the diverter and it had been done wrongly a second time they'd already gone. I've now given up and am arranging my own repair to get the diverter fitted correctly, 4 months later. Less

I would rate Barry and his team as overall the work completed was to a high standard and we love our replacement conservatory roof. Just a couple of things to note. The guys are very busy, so if the previous job carry’s over it will have an affect on your job. If your having electrical work done, make sure the electrician comes early in the job, on ours he came almost at the end which was too late as some work had to be redone to accommodate him. Less

This is almost a 100% perfect review. If you are only interested in the minor thing that dropped this to a 99% review then you may as well go straight to the end of this review, however, if you would first like to hear all the positive things then read on ..... Our first contact with the company started on a positive note with an agreed date and time for them to come out and discuss what we required. They turned up exactly as planned and the meeting was superb. They completely understood what our requirements were and asked all the right questions and gave good relevant suggestions. We met with both the electrician that would be handling that side of things and also the owner of the business, Barry who was clearly someone that knew and understood everything that was involved. The quote for the new conservatory roof came through soon after the meeting and we gave the go ahead. All they asked for was a very small "booking" fee (£50) which would be deducted from the payment at the end. Unlike other contractors we have dealt with in the past who ask for at least half the money up front, not so with Fife Roofers. The crew turned up on the date booked and worked tirelessly for the whole week. Every day they turned up early in the morning and just got on with things. We didn't have to worry about anything at all. At the end of the week, as scheduled, the work was completed and we had a brilliant new conservatory roof. We cannot recommend this company enough. Outstanding. Our only gripe, is that we have dogs and we did specifically asked them to ensure that the area that they had cleared in the garden was completely clear of any screws, nails etc so that the dogs did not run the risk of getting anything in their paws. Unfortunately we continued to find some screws etc in the grass after this was supposed to have been cleared. (This was a seperate area to that which still had some debris that was to be cleared the next day which we knew about and we said we would be happy to go over that area ourselves and clear any screws etc once that debris was removed). Other than that we cannot fault this company and we would have absolutely no hesitation using them again, in fact we did give them another job to provide a quote for. Less

I was given confirmation by Fife Roofers that Barry would attend my property on the 21st Feb. at 1200 to assess damage to my roof tiles and provide me with a quote for the work. Barry did not turn up as arranged and after several hours I tried to contact Fife Roofers to find out why there was a no show. Unfortunately, as claimed on their advertising material that all calls would be answered promptly, no one answered my call. I called again on the 22nd again with no answer so I left a voice mail message requesting that they contact me to let me know what had gone wrong. It is now the 27th Feb. and I still have not had a response from Fife Roofers. I can only conclude that customer service is not in part of their company policy. Sadly if this is the way the treat the customer their work ethic is very much in question. Less

When I first contacted them I was very happy with what was discussed and they had arranged to come out on a certain date. However with the snow and ice they had to reschedule due to safety reasons which is very understandable; They had to wait for the snow and ice to melt before carrying out repair. We arranged for another date a week or so later and on the day they were supposed to arrive, I received a text to say they were on their way but they never arrived. I had waited in all day for them and moved my car and asked my neighbours to move theirs also as we had hired a cherry picker. When I tried to call them at the end of the day there was no answe . I called them the next day and the person I spoke with was surprised that noone showed up and promised to get to the bottom of this. I had to contact them again as I had t heard back and I was advised that he had not found out what happened yet and would get back to me asap which didn't happen. When I called again there was no answer. After afew days I text them to say I would be looking for someone else and I still have no heard back from them nearly two weeks later. I don't like to leave bad reviews and would rather not leave any than a bad one but for the safety of my own and other peoplenandntheir homes I thought I should share these events. Less
