I live in Pierce County. I hired Ben (owner of SouthBay septic and Excavation) to install one of the more complicated septic systems available. In addition, I hired him to grade a swath of land, install a catch basin and 80ft of culvert, then top it with 8 loads of aggregate.The septic was installed flawlessly and all inspections were a breeze. The grading and culvert was installed without any issues and I am very happy about the end result. I most appreciated Ben’s excellent communication and straight forward honesty. I always knew what to expect and if there were any delays (because of an atmospheric river) he was on top of letting me know a realistic time frame. In addition, Mikey and Jared, the crew mates were excellent, knowledgeable and extremely kind. They worked hard and did everything with care.Thanks to the Ben and the crew. I would definitely hire them again.

Ben is amazing to work with, great communication, efficient in what he does, and sets clear parameters. If you need dirt work completed, a retaining wall built, gravel brought in, or a driveway widened I highly recommend him. He has done all of these things and the quality of work is fantastic! Seriously those blocks are 4000 pounds a piece and they are perfectly straight and level!
