I couldn’t rate Life Effect Chiropractic enough. I’ve been suffering with chronic debilitating back/sacroiliac joint pain on the background of general joint hypermobility. I went to see them at the peak of my symptoms having exhausted all the general physio, acupuncture, osteopathy, nerves injections, rest, pushing through the pain. I literally had tried it all and yet I still couldn’t function. I went from being a busy, active person to being essentially house bound. I’ve been having chiropractor treatment now for the last 8 months with now decreasing frequency and I can honestly say that this has helped me massively both in terms of pain levels and function. I have to do my end of the deal, which is the strengthening exercises they’ve given me. The team is knowledgeable, kind, passionate about improving patient function and I would definitely recommend them to anyone struggling with chronic issues. It is not a quick fix, but it’s a slow steady return to normal which is hopefully more sustainable long term. Thank you to Stephen and the team!

Life Effect Chiropractor has been life changing for me!In recent year's I have had problems with both shoulders, elbows and my back. It affected the way I walked and caused further problems with my hips and feet. I'm an older lady who had lots of aches and pain that made daily life activities difficult. I always walk out of Life Effect better than when I walk in! I am now much better with walking, standing and stairs than I was before. On top of that everybody here is so kind and caring. Life effect Chiropractics primary ethos is to help your body mend itself. Having fallen out of a roofspace in 2017 i experienced a complete lock up of my back 9 months later. Having tried a number of other medical solutions which helped to a degree they did not cure the underlying problem that my back needed resetting and adjusting to help the nervous system realign to the correct posture. Before I came to Life effect I was taking ibuprofen daily for the neck pain I was experiencing. I no longer take any medications at all for pain. This has been a long process and remains so but I am much more mobile than I was and the pain I was experiencing has significantly reduced. Together Life effect and my body continue to work on adjusting how my nervous system is responding to the adjustments. Visits to Life effect weekly keep me mobile and pain free and I look forward to regaining full movement of my neck with the continued support from the Life effect team in Southampton.

Originally, I went to Life Effect because of the consultation offer they were advertising, but as soon as I saw that X-rays were included within the price, I instantly felt reassured that this was the right place for me. Having the certainty that your pain isn’t “all in your head,” and actually being able to visually see what’s going on with your body, makes such a difference mentally. It gives you confidence that you’re finally taking the right steps towards relieving years of tension and pain.From the moment I walked through the door, I was welcomed with open arms. Every member of staff greeted me with such warmth and kindness, which meant a lot to me. Going into new places or situations can often trigger my anxiety and make me hesitant, but that feeling disappeared almost immediately. I felt completely at ease and was quickly greeted by Stephen (pictured) with the biggest smile.Our initial consultation was thorough, and I genuinely felt listened to. Stephen took the time to hear everything I had to say, and I never once felt rushed. It was comforting to feel validated and to hear that the physical strain from my job could genuinely be contributing to the pain and tension I’ve been experiencing.After our consultation, Stephen took me through for my X-rays, which was quick and easy, and I was so eager to see the results. I was then introduced to Beth for my first adjustment, which I was most excited about. She was absolutely lovely and immediately made me feel comfortable and heard. After my adjustment, I felt such a huge relief in the tension, especially around my neck and shoulders.I’ve now been attending two sessions a week, and I genuinely look forward to every appointment. Life effect has helped me so much not only have they been able to diagnose me with what I have which other professionals never did I am in less pain. Would definitely recommend. The atmosphere is very calm and the staff is very nice and you can have a giggle with them. I am autistic and always feel at ease here. Dr Stephen is always happy to help and can have a laugh with 😊
