Great gym, great staff. The staff is phenomenal with both the adults and kids. Their Jiu Jitsu program is well structured and builds as each lesson progresses. Their staff also periodically check in with their students as to their training and personally. After meeting some of the staff only once they not only remembered my name but my kids. They take the time.

Great place for beginners (11 year old). This location offers varying classes for different age groups and has several tuition programs. The instructors are well trained and teach in a safe environment with easy to understand instructions.

My daughter and I have been training here for a little while now and I have to say what a fantastic place! The cadre are outstanding to work with and the other patrons are some of the best people I've ever met. Five stars is not enough for these folks. Very clean facility, very organized. I have been teaching for almost 20 years, and have been working with kids most of my life and it is very hard to WOW me, and Hampton Roads Karate and Jiujutsu has managed to do just that. I am beyond impressed with the way this program operates, and I am just blown away by the atmosphere that they have created for kids of all ages (including adults). Before trying this program out, we had gone to a number of other places and we’re not impressed. Not only did they exceed our expectations, they also did not break the bank. Love you guys!!! ❤️

Friendly, welcoming and supportive staff! This has been a great, family-friendly environment for my kids to try something new. We took advantage of the free trial and now they look forward to going to classes regularly. Love that the children’s classes focus on confidence, discipline and self-defense. Would recommend this place for anyone of any age.

Troy & his staff have been nothing but welcoming to my 2 girls whom I signed up for classes. We started with a free trial and the instructors took the time to ensure it was a comfortable transition into a new experience. My girls look forward to this every week and I love that the program focuses on confidence, discipline and self defense.
