Shout to Monteiro's snow removal for an excellent and timely job with plowing out our driveway from the snow left by winter storm Fern!!! My partner is a Certified Nurse Midwife and needed to be at the hospital by 7 a.m. We really only needed to brush off her car and she drove out with no problem. Thank you SO much, guys! I had an excellent experience in all respects with this team. Doug was highly communicative, creative, and very responsive. He was able to sketch some ideas on the spot and listen to my suggestions. Doug also followed up during the project when design decisions came up, and frequently kept in touch with me to make sure I was happy with the work.The job was massive, including removal of buried concrete, old steps, tree stumps, two old retaining walls, small boulders, and other hidden rubble buried on a slope along the side of the house. Much of this was not visible when they started the job, but with some extra people they kept up the schedule.They installed beautiful new walkway to a set of granite steps, complemented by 3 new retaining walls, new drain pipes, new masonry wall around a window and door, a cute flower bed, and re-pointing the old bricks along the side of the house.In the middle of the project, they agreed to also replace the dilapidated old front porch with matching granite steps and matching walkway. Even though this was not on the original plan, they again added some skilled workers to keep things moving along.The team was really hard-working, putting in solid full days even in the June/July heat-wave. It was a pleasure watching a group of skilled masons and landscapers turn this 125 year-old house into a beautiful home I'm proud to own.

We hired Monteiro & Sons to do a significant landscape makeover and turn a large portion of our yard into an English cottage inspired garden with raised beds. We are so pleased with the result, it turned out exactly as we envisioned it. We worked closely with Doug, who understood our vision from the start and discussed the details of the project with us in intricate detail. We received multiple quotes for this project but Monteiro & Sons gave us by far the most confidence that they were the right folks for the job. From the very start, Doug had his sketchbook and started drawing out what we were describing. We also provided them with multiple inspiration photos and videos showcasing exactly what we wanted, and they followed everything to a T, and even provided additional suggestions that enhanced the finished look of the project. They are very detail oriented, they check in with you often to make sure the project is turning out the way you want, and they work efficiently and thoughtfully, going above and beyond every time.
