If you need a trainer in North County- Pat's your guy. He was incredibly informative on our intro call, which was complementary. He listened to all my concerns regarding my 2 TJ rescues, he brainstormed solutions and gave me a solid plan that would fit into my lifestyle and current circumstances. He was even able to take my dogs for their board and train within 24hours of our conversation due to an emergency fence replacement happening on my property.Pat communicated with me throughout the board and train regarding their progress, and sent me pictures to show my daughter who was missing her pups. He tailored his methods to each of my very opposite and individual dogs in a clear way that has transitioned well to our home environment.Immediate progress has been made in my dogs confidence, their ability to calm quickly, the ease of walking them together, quiet kenneling of my younger pup, having direction and focus when strangers are around and all basic obediance commands.I could not believe that he even won the heart of my skittish wild girl- helping her overcome her fear or strangers and men- so much so that she's no longer avoiding people she had previously refused to interact with.We've had 2 follow up sessions and have a few more to go to get our whole household on the same page with the programming Pat has installed in our furry companions. I'm looking forward to building on the training they've had and I will be turning to Pat for any/all future training inquiries.As far as value/cost goes, I'm 100% satisfied with the transaction. This is the 3rd training program I've invested in (over the life of 4 dogs now) and I have found the cost to be incredibly reasonable compared to what I paid in 2011 and 2013. A couple years ago we were asked to take in a Great Dane who was passed around between 3 different homes. He was never taught manners or how to walk on a leash. He would pull me, lunge towards people or dogs while walking and was uncontrollable. Thinking that we would never overcome this and this is just the type of dog he is.Then I came across one of Pat’s post on IG and reached out to see if he could help me with my Great Dane, Bo. We did a 20 minute phone consult and then booked our first session. Pat gave me great tools to work on and we would work on them everyday. I honestly cannot say enough good things about our experience with Pat’s Pack Dog Training! Pat did an absolutely amazing job with our Doberman, Titus. We originally purchased a 6 session in home training pack in January 2026 when we brought our 3-year old rescue Maltipoo (Maggie) home who had no manners and knew no commands. Pat worked with us on making our daily walks pleasurable & gave us the tools to teach Maggie her basic commands and how to interact positively with our resident 6-year old Papillon/Corgi mix. We will soon be entertaining guests at our home who will be bringing their dog for the weekend. We asked Pat to do a follow-up in-home visit in August 2026 to show us how to best integrate the pups upon meeting a larger/more energetic dog. He brought his dog (Millie) with him and gave us expert advice. It all went so well & we now feel completely confident & comfy with this upcoming visit. Pat is also just a really great guy. I cannot recommend Pat’s Pack enough! We sent our dog Franklin to a 3 week board and train with Pat and are so so thankful to him. I am pretty sure I have told everyone I know about how much he has saved my husband and I in our relationship with our dog. We found Pat after dealing with some extreme resource guarding attacks (he bit us multiple times and drew blood) and we were honestly at the end of our rope and seriously considering rehoming him. We were living in fear of him and it was a struggle to feel safe at home. Pat took him and did a board and train with him for 3 weeks and I could not have wished for a better transformation. Franklin received ecollar training, leash training, and exposure to a variety of other dogs. Pat even had me come to his home to work through the resource guarding attacks in a safe manner to help me build my confidence in managing Frank’s behavior. By the time Frank came back to us I felt confident in my ability to manage him, and he felt like a completely different dog. He listens to commands, heels on walks, and has not shown a single instance of aggression or resource guarding since his return. At the end of his camp Pat brought him to our home and showed me training exercises to use with him around the sources of his prior resource guarding, it was awesome! Such a confidence builder. In addition, Pat told us that he stands behind his training and if we ever felt like Frank (or us) had forgotten or slipped on our training he would be there to support us. Pat’s program is not only effective, but the behavior changes we have seen in Frank are long lasting. He is amazing and I highly recommend him to anyone dealing with difficult dog behaviors or just needed some support in basic training. He is the man!!!

We adopted our Dalmatian mix, Otto, from Mexico when he was about 3 months. By the age of 2, it seemed like most of our self-training for him wasn't working. He would jump on guests, pull really badly on the leash during walks, chase our cat or lizards outside, and get way too excited when he would see other dogs and bark. I found Pat through a mom's group post and I can say now that I am SO GLAD WE FOUND HIM!Otto spent 2 weeks with Pat and came back a changed dog- it was well worth the money and honestly, I felt the cost was very reasonable. Otto is now a pleasure to take on a walk. No more pulling and he actually walks behind us! He doesn't jump when we have guests over anymore and will go lay in his place when asked. He mostly ignores other dogs on walks and definitely doesn't bark anymore (the only thing we are still actively working on are his interactions with his "friends" on the leash when he gets excited to see them, but Pat has given us more advice on how to work on this). My absolute fav thing is that he and my cat are now besties that nap and eat together!! I never thought this would happen. So much less stress in our house. We now see people out walking with their very misbehaved dogs and always joke that we should send those dogs to see Pat. :) Thanks again, Pat!!

We are so grateful to Pat! We did a 3 week board and train for our Mexico rescue dog that was stubborn and hard for us to train. Pat was patient with us on our initial discovery call and answered all of our questions giving us the confidence that he was the guy for the job. Pat taught us a lot about different training tools and techniques that have worked well for us and Cooper. Cooper came back a different dog from his board and train which was such a relief to us because we were having a very hard time with him.We did some traveling and I think we unintentionally created confusion for Cooper in keeping up with our training and had a little set back. But Pat was on it with us, came to our house for a refresher session, met us at the dog park to see how he does in high distraction areas and ultimately, helped us pivot our plan a bit that we were all comfortable with. And it was effective immediately! Pat also recommended going on structured pack walks which we immediately started doing and I think it has helped boost his confidence.Cooper used to bark and lunge at dogs across the street. Now, we can take him out in public, to breweries and coffee shops and it feels like he's a normal pup now. I even was able to take him out on a SUP with me. Super thorough with the training process and breaks everything down into bite sized pieces.I like that my dogs boards at his home- huge warehouse style boarding facilities are super stressful on my pups and I don’t feel like they get the attention they deserve. Pat takes his time with each dog and is very attentive during the boarding process. Pat is an all around incredible human being to learn from and be around. Clear and concise on “what and why”. Adopted a 3 year old Siberian, first dog, told myself to not get a husky, but he knew what he was doing at the human society. Before taking my dog (6 yr old rescue Malinois) to Pat’s he was incredibly reactive and slightly aggressive to people/dogs. After our daughter was born, our Dachshund started showing some aggression on leash—toward other dogs and even some kids—which was really scary for us. Pat was incredibly helpful in teaching us how to re-establish boundaries and regain control during walks.
