It was late August 2023 when I first inquired about annuities online. Jeffrey Warsaw contacted me immediately to introduce himself and set up a good time for us to discuss my needs. After a brief conversation, he sent me more information in an email and we set up a time to discuss in more detail. I initially had to post pone due to a surgery/recovery time, but then met with him in early September.I was very discouraged with my IRA results and worried about my life savings deteriorating away in the market. I had let a big company manage my IRA, and with the small draw I take every month and their fees, I was barely breaking even for the year. The balance actually fluctuated so much during this time under their management, I just didn’t believe they were looking after my interests. I needed to be able to sleep at night knowing my life savings would be there to support my retirement years as well as leave something for my family when I am gone.After my first meeting with Jeff, I started to understand why he was “sent” to me. (I believe things happen for a reason in my life.) We actually talked for 2 hours, as he wanted to learn more about me and my families’ needs/desires, and I wanted to learn more about the products he offered. Over the course of next several months, we met and discussed about once per week for an hour or so. He was very knowledgeable, patient, caring, and truly wanted to help and educate me to make the right decisions. I decided to take a first step on a lifetime annuity income plan. We filled out the application, and after that, I couldn’t sleep for 2 nights in a row. I contacted him and asked to put it on hold for now. He called me to discuss, not to pressure me, but concerned about me. When I told him I couldn’t sleep, he said “Then we need to regroup and discuss your priorities more”. It was not the product, but the amount I was dedicating that had me uneasy.We discussed a couple of other products and my savings and growth strategy product. I came up with an amount for each that I felt good about and we began the application process. We then started the guaranteed income product a week or so later for an amount I was comfortable with. (Actually, in process now, Nov 2023) I take a long time to make any financial decisions and analyze them over and over again. I am trying to introduce him to as many of my friends as I can so they too can benefit. I had been using a financial agent for seven years. I had sixteen accounts to track with only general information until their aniversary dates as to how they were doing. Two of them were from a previous financial adviser. The agent recommended an initial investment that was so bad that he wouldn't talk to them a year later. I had to move both maximum qualified and non qualified funds allowed without penalty every year.
