I wanted to remodel my kitchen, replace some old cabinets, install some new appliances, redesign some layout items. But the size of my project was too small <$60K to get the larger outfits interested. I did my due diligence of the local market and landed on Tennessee Designs. They were competitively priced, had the semi-custom cabinets I was looking for and suggested some design ideas that we wound up adopting. Most importantly was Mr Tennessee, stressed that he'd had the bulk of his crew for multiple years, I didn't want some rando sub-contractor showing up in my house because I'd had a previous bad experience with a GC not knowing his subs. This turned out to be true and it showed up positively throughout the project. Everyone was friendly, worked very cleanly, seemed to know each other and went above and beyond on multiple occasions-- for example the demo team helped me load up a bunch of stuff I was taking to the landfill, the PM (the excellent Ta-Keisha) noticed we needed some additional 3 way switches, talked to me about it and made it happen (without a change request). The tile guy wound up with some extra tiles and suggested we use them to pull in the area pictured to the left of the fridge-- then he stayed late to do it, (again, no change request). We started on Oct 28 and had a fully functional kitchen back before Thanksgiving (about 95% complete). We did have some delays waiting on deliveries and then I was traveling for a week so we didn't finish the last 5% until 2 weeks into Dec-- but were 100% done under 8 weeks. I have a high degree of confidence that if I had an issue today, that it would be solve with no drama and a single phone call. I highly recommend these folks.
