It’s actually for Dr Mohammed Qaisi, who I guess practices here when he isn’t at Illinois Masonic’s dental office. I had called needing a consult for a broken wisdom tooth, and because of health complications, my cardiologist suggested I look into the dentists and oral surgeons that work through the same hospital. So I called the number to IL Masonic’s dental office, they told me he wasn’t available but that I could see him at this office. Scheduled me for a 3pm appointment on a Friday. Went in to see him at this location, the receptionist had no idea about my appointment. She said he hasn’t been seeing patients there long, so there may have been a mixup. But she told me to fill out paperwork and have a seat, ran my insurance, etc. I sat there for an hour and a half before she told me they had double booked him and he was in surgery, and this was AFTER I asked. She wasn’t planning on telling me apparently - just let me wait the two hours it took to see him. Anyway, when I finally saw him, bedside manner was just okay. He seemed inconvenienced by my anxiety and stress and obviously wanted to go home. He rushed through a consult, told me that I would need 18,000 dollars worth of work done (in an operating room at IL Masonic) and sent me on my way. If I wanted my wisdom tooth out, it would be 650 plus whatever nitrous oxide cost. Then he told me to go sit with the receptionist to figure out next steps and left the office for the night. They did come up with a care plan, which by the way, a second opinion at a different office estimated about 10K worth of work + it’s all able to be done in office. I was told I’d be contacted by his other office after they ran my insurance, and I never heard back. Funny enough, I heard back from this office when I was on the way to get my wisdom tooth removed somewhere else. TLDR: don’t see Dr. Qaisi here. I cant speak for how he is at another location, but I’d also recommend getting your front office figured out. I was sent a bill from this office for 120 dollars after waiting TWO HOURS for my consult and I’ll be writing an email about why I’m not paying it and how the receptionist at the front desk is completely unprofessional. For this implant, I was refereed to Dr. Lawrence Zager, who performed superb work. Although the process takes time, to allow the bone to grow around the implant before the installation of a new crown, a fully satisfactory temporary, installed by my regular dentist, preserved a natural look during the healing period. The wholly painless process has involved almost no time at all in a dentist’s chair, just the time for bone growth, and I would have spent several times the (not inconsequential) amount to have, at my age (70+), a full set of good looking and fully functional teeth. I was sent home with detailed instructions how to minimize pain and quicken healing time. He even called me around 9pm that night to ensure I was doing OK. To my delight, despite having difficult teeth to extract, I was in minimal pain and had nearly no swelling at all. All feeling came back by the next morning meaning no nerve damage. About a week later he had me in to check on the healing process. Everything looked perfect and he said I could already start eating anything (while still being careful, of course) and working out again. Overall, I have to say my experience was the best I've heard of when getting wisdom teeth out. Dr. Zager and his whole staff were professional, polite, and very caring. They made sure all my questions were answered before and after surgery. I've recommended Dr. Zager and his staff to multiple friends already. I highly recommend his office for your dental needs. I had the most excruciating pain on the left side of my face, jaw, ear, throat for a week and a half. Went to see my dentist, he found nothing obvious. After squirming in my bed for the last two weeks like a dying animal I was referred to Dr. Zager. From the very first moment I walked into the office I felt the compassion from the staff Trina and Audra, they were so polite and attentive,The whole staff was amazing. They took x-rays and then Dr. Zager listened to my symptoms and i felt like he immediately noticed a little facial paralysis on my left side. When i saw him look at me, I told him i was hit with Bell's palsy about 10 years ago and i was afraid it had something to do with it again because the pain was hitting all of my left side. He helped me relax when he said he thought he knew what was going on just by my symptoms and observations. Turns out it was just like Dr. Zager said, he was right! it had nothing to do with my teeth, it was viral. That Bells Palsy B*tch came back but this time it was attacking me deeper! He gave me a prescription which I started immediately and I started feeling better that same day and just like he said by the next day I would no longer need to continue taking any more narcotics. As soon as I felt the relief I was literally crying in tears because I was so lucky to have been sent to him. This experience might have started off with bad tears but it ended up with great tears of being PAINFREE!! He is an AMAZING caring doctor. When I felt hopeless I prayed to come across a Dr. HOUSE who would diagnose me and cure me just like that Dr. in that tv show, However Dr. house is just an actor & Dr. Zager is Real!! Less

My son needed to have all four wisdom teeth extracted. The entire process went as smooth as can be. My son had a general anesthesia and, after about an hour recovery, we took him home. I had a number of front teeth damaged during a medical operation. I needed implants for my two front teeth. Dr. Zager first took out my two damaged teeth and later put in an implant foundation. The two teeth removal went quickly and I had no issues afterward. Dr. Zager is very concerned about infection. He gave me a prescription and instructions to insure no issues. He also called me later in the evening of the operation asking if I had any problems (I did not). Dr. Zager also put in some bone in my two sockets to help my jaw handle the implant foundation. Once I was healed, Dr. Zager then used a new method to drill the implant foundation into my jaw. It was less intrusive, fast (40 minutes) and again with great results. As usual, I had a prescription and instructions to follow to avoid infection. Dr. Zager called later that evening to check on me - I had no issues. I healed quickly and will get my final implant teeth from my dentist in about 3 months. Dr Zager is very professional, he uses the latest procedures in oral surgery and is always concerned about potential infections. I would highly recommend him - and will continue to use him for my future oral surgery needs. His staff is also very professional and friendly. Less
