Bright Dental Morton Grove

This place is dishonest and engages in fraudulent billing. I would give zero stars if I could.I scheduled a free Invisalign consultation at Bright Dental in Morton Grove (Dr. Kassim) after confirming several times — both before and after the appointment — that it was completely free. I also made it very clear that my insurance does NOT cover orthodontic treatment, so there was absolutely no reason to involve my insurance. When I arrived, the office had a slight odor — nothing overwhelming, but definitely off-putting. Honestly, I should have taken that as a red flag.During the appointment, I was told I needed another dental procedure (which I already knew from my primary dentist). Once the consultation was done, at the front desk, I was asked to provide my insurance card — and was told it was just to get a estimate for that other procedure. I gave it over, assuming they were being helpful. But a few weeks later, I was shocked to receive a letter from my insurance company — Bright Dental had submitted a claim for the "free" Invisalign consultation. This was never authorized by me, and I had already made it clear that my insurance did not cover invisalign procedures as well as my annual maximum is low. They charged my insurance for something they advertised and promised was free.I called the office immediately. I’ve spoken with Berenice multiple times. Each time, she told me that she would speak with her manager and have the charges reversed. That was back in August. It is now mid-October, and nothing has been done. My insurance company also contacted them directly, and they claimed the same thing — that the charges would be reversed. Still no action. This entire situation is incredibly frustrating and deeply disappointing. It feels fraudulent and deceptive. You can’t advertise a free service, mislead patients into handing over their insurance "just for a quote," and then secretly bill them behind their backs. It’s dishonest, and it shows zero respect for patients.I rarely ever leave reviews, but this experience was disappointing enough that I felt the need to speak up. Patients deserve transparency and honesty — not surprises on their insurance statements. Please be cautious if you're considering their “free consultation”. I’m currently waiting for my insurance to follow up with them again. If the charges are not reversed, I will have no choice but to file a formal complaint with the Better Business Bureau.
